Capcom Halves Forcast: Blames "Excessive Outsourcing"

There's some kinda offical site of the USA's government where you can create petitions that will be viewed by them if they get enough votes and might lead to a change in law. Someone SERIOUSLY created a petition there for DmC to be banned from being sold, saying that it would violate their human rights to be able to choose between the classic series and the reboot. Talk about 'over-devoted' :/
Human rights?!?!?!
No, like, seriously?
*Lols and facepalms even more*

Remember that trailer back from 2010? The one with the junkie looking Dante? I guarantee if Dante had his original haircut in that trailer it would have NOT gotten the kind of backlash it did..

Probably not of the same magnitude, but legitimate concerns would have still been present such as Loopy pointed out before.

And even then, there still would have been the unreasonable fans who simply just hate all change or reboots.

You say "over devoted" I say complete idiot. This wasn't even funny, it was sad and pathetic.

Now getting a petition going to build Death Stars is funny. It actually got the amount of signatures that NASA had to officially issue a response explaining why a Death Star would be impossible lol.

I also saw this petition to make the judges from Judge Dredd a reality. That was awesome and hilarious. Crime will Dredd the day that happens.

Yea there are guys like that.

Being a part of the Sonic fanbase myself since day 1 has shown me this.

But all I'm saying is that the entirety of the Sonic fanbase is NOT like that, Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors where 2 of the most well received amongst fans in a very long time.

Sure there are some who still had stuff to complain about, but it was a step in the right direction commercially and fanwise in my opinion.

In my opinion, yes, Colours and Generations were very well received, as they should be in fact. I'm not even saying the entire Sonic fanbase is full of raving lunatics or such, i am saying there it's comprised of several different generations of gamers who have come to enjoy the different kinds of Sonic games, i personally grew up with the Mega Drive games but i also accept the 3D games, i, like you, am perfectly happy with the direction things are taking.

Regardless though, when you've got people who enjoy the same franchise but came in at different times, they'll have different viewpoints and opinions regarding that series, especially for a franchise like Sonic that has changed so much.

Same thing can be said with alot of different franchises, Megaman, Mario, Zelda and so forth... it just tends to be a lot less extreme over in the other fan communities (Apart from that one point in time when Legends 3 got cancelled and everybody started frothing at the mouth)

Yeah, if I remeber correctly they *literally* said human rights xD

It is. I just tried to put it more politely ._.

Kehehe, those really are awesome xD

Ugth...

I hate you Capcom.

But I can't help but still like them in the slightest, They brought me UMVC3 and DmC, and DMC...

Just remember people, that most people that hated DmC thought that petition was stupid and most likely a joke. The only reason that petition got more signatures was because of the media making a huge deal about it to make DMC fans look bad which the gave the petition attention which then caused people to sign it just for lulz.

Also if you haven't seen it yet I made a response to why I felt Tameem was disrespectful on page 24 of this topic.

Yep, that kind of thing makes the fandom look pretty bad....and of course people will sign that kind of thing for fun. It's in the nature of sheeple to do that for perceived lulz.
It just ended up making everyone look bad, and people not into DMC thinking that the fans are nuts.

And did you even read that article you posted or just took what you wanted from it?

And don't you dare defend the DMC fans. It's not just the freaking petition. It's how they are STILL freaking out about the reboot. Get over yourselves.

Just need to get over the whole thing. The game is here, it's been made. Now we need to wait and see what Capcom will do next.

In a perfect world, some Capcom employees made that petition just for the lulz. That would have actually been hilarious.

Now that would have been funny. You mean like a publicity stunt to get attention for the game?

Something like that happened with the Dante's inferno game. The company hired fake religious protestors to picket against the game and calling it satan worship.

There's something about games that have Dante as a main character and weird things happening to it:P

Hahaha! Omg, I saw that full video that was in and when it came to that part all I immediately thought was "that's our fandom, right there "
The reason the fans didn't like wasn't because it changed, it was because they didn't like how it was changed, why it was changed, and the people who changed it. I think people in general are fine with change as long as the changes are good in the eyes of the people who are buying the game.Tomb Raider was a big change for the series and that game sold over 3 million (yet unfortunately still failed to reach it's sales target).

I posted many articles, name the one and I will re-read it. But in response about the petition, I am a huge Devil May Cry fan, have been since I was 14, when I saw that petition I thought it was stupid and many of the other fans that I knew thought it was stupid. Nobody in their right mind wanted the game to be banned and taken out of shelves. Most people wanted to see how this game would fair on the market; to see if we were right or wrong all a long.

EDIT: And even if there were people who truly wanted to see the game get banned then they are a part of a radical minority that I would say all fanbases have.

At the end of the day you can't stop fans from being stupid, they prefer to live in ignorance and just complain about whatever **** is on the bandwagon at the time, most of the time without even trying the thing that people are complaining about, i swear i've seen a few people like that on this forum and i've definitely seen it from other fans of other subjects. It's the COOL thing to do y'know?

I'd rather just talk about what i did and didn't like, make some suggestions then be done with it and hope for better next time when i feel a game wasn't very good.

Geez the thread changes topics constantly.

First it as about Capcom.

Then it was about DLC.

Then it was about animation and stuff.

Then it was about Resident Evil and COD.

Then it was about Bayonetta.

Now its about fanbases and fanboyism.

What is the next topic? What is the true color of the sun?

Yeah man, it ****ed me off when I started to see all these articles talking about it. Most of them would not single out the person who made it, but instead blamed us fans for it as if the fanbase hadn't been stepped on enough.

Nope, microwaveable bacon. You know people hate on microwaveable bacon, but I kinda like it. It's easy, convenient, and they fit nicely on a burger. Also nice pic of the A. Reigns Gang.
