I dont think ive seen it, was out 8 years ago though so i might have and just forgot...

Yeah, I actually sat there and tried every link in the DMC 3 and 4 gallery to see if it was only certain ones, but it appears to be all the links are non-functional. Looks like some great images in there, too. ;)

Think it was a paid for gallery from vBulletin but im not sure, it wouldnt have been compatible when we switched forum software but the links were probably meant to be removed or updated.

Since it is legal to download torrentz of media you already own, is it okay to post links to torrents on the forum? After all it's not like we are telling people to illegally download stuff.
 
yeh, it's always online, people can always download them

essentially, all that a person would be doing, would be posting a link to another webpage
 
So wait, lemme get this straight, if you own sosmething, and post it on a torrent, that's okay... until someone who doesn't own that thing, comes along, downloads it, and then it's classed as piracy ?
Surely if you download something, you don't already have it?
I thought it was illegal if you sold copies and made a profit from it.
Or am I getting it wrong?
 
there are many reasons to download something you already own:

To keep a softcopy as a backup
Because your own copy broke
A bunch of others I can't think of, these are the two most common legal reasons.

Actually, the ONLY accepted legal reason to download something is if you already own it. You own a copy of the Devil May Cry anime, you can download a copy of it and store it on your computer, portable media player, etc.

You CAN NOT resell copies of the anime, or show it at a park and charge people to see it.

Games are the same. You can download an "archival" copy (back-up) and store it. But you're not allowed to resell or re-distribute (free or otherwise) your copy of the game. This includes posting on torrents or any peer to peer network.

If you don't own a hard copy of something you're downloading, it becomes illegal for you to download and re-distribute (torrent or p2p) something.

Everyone in the universe has to give me £1 (or universe equivalent). Nothing major and no-one will want to kill me for suggesting it and i will become the richest being alive.
