I know your question is directed to Staff Members, but I have an idea of the answer. I'm assuming it's because their account that they created for free, isn't truly deactivated. I mean, it's stopped for sure. There is definitely a ban barrier, a perimeter they can't overstep. I guess that when they enter their details, the details to their account are still correct. Therefore they have 'logged on'. But they haven't truly logged on, because they aren't allowed on the site to post or use the features. Therefore, although it is displayed they are online, they are still banned with the red line through their name displayed accordingly so.

Yes, I do get your point. You're saying it's like they have an account registered, yet can't do anything. Thus making them like a guest to the place, even though they had previously registered an account.

I've seen good ol' (cough) SpardaTM signed in a fair few times since his banning. Banned people are unable to really do anything bar...Browse, I suppose, as far as I know, when they try to do anything they just get a big ol' message that equates to "LOLDENIED."

Favourite holiday? Hmm, probably the Easter hols, purely because my birthday takes place during that two week period of time off, which presents me with ample chance to get hammered without having to worry about going to college the following day. :lol:

Summed up by LOD perfectly id say as their account is still there and hasnt been removed and all their posts remain (unless we have to remove any flame filled ones). They can log in but are greeted with a banned message (or a custom one we create sometimes). They can do little else and cant post etc.
