I will take a look, its likely that the rep system is slightly bugged because of peoples rep powers. Just needs tweaking a little thats all.

Okay, thanks for that ^_^ You 'da man' :P

I'll take you through it in more detail if you want- send me a visitor message of what your doing and where your getting stuck and I'll help you sort it :)

^^ You're very helpful Ebony, have some Rep from me ^_^

^ I think Chaos Master said somewhere else that it had something to do with me having more Rep, meaning I could give more Rep >_>

@Staff: Just a curious question (Thought up from reading Faustinasa's question) What lesser powers does a Moderator have, in comparison to an Admin? Or is it just the same? =/

What's it like being an Admin?

Its great, we can pretty much do anything here and its good to be able to help people out with problems and keep the forums running as best we can.

Yeah the more rep you have the higher your rep power is. Ive just tweaked it a little and the rep powers will be lower now for the amount of rep people have so you will give out less. I could make it even less than it is now but i dont know how it would effect the people with low rep.

Moderators can ban members and edit posts and profiles but they cant access anything to do with the site itself like renaming sections, fixing any forum issues and all the behind the scenes forum tools they cant access. Their powers are pretty much centred around members and not the forums themselves.

I suppose that makes sense, but highly unfair also >_< Thanks a lot for tweaking it, I really appreciate that a lot ^_^

Oh right, thanks for clearing that up Andy ^^ So you have more power over the place itself? Whereas Moderators deal with members and problems on the boards, but not the structure of the Website. Cool stuff ^_^

Yeah thats basically it in a nutshell we have their powers PLUS the powers to alter anything around the site besides the code structure that Steve does as hes the webmaster.

That's some preety sweet stuff right there:cool:

@LoD- Yeah...I was wondering why my rep jumped so much...problem solved now though thanks to Dark Drakan tweaking the rep.

What gets a forum closed? Is everything in it inappropiate or just not used anymore?

You mean a section of the forum such as Bloody Palace or DMC4 Modding Discussion etc or a whole forum in general?

Yeah, a forum like Bloody Palace...they have the Orb face beside them. I know red means there is something new, gray because there is nothing new...but what would cause a blue?

If we were doing some thread clean-up or moving a whole section of threads somewhere else we would close it while we transferred them.

What is the best way to repel an ongoing assault of crazy Christian protesters chanting and screaming about abortion and gays on college campuses? They're annoying everyone at my university, but the issue is the protesters have a little thing called freedom of speech. Damn it.

C4 Explosives have never failed in the past.

Ah yes, I completely agree with your statement Andy :) Hate to sound so negative and whiny towards the Rep System >_< But if I Rep a post, and it's towards someone who has just joined; it usually gets all of their red and blue dots to maximum all at once. And that's just from me having Repped them once.

Why does it do that? And is there any way I can Rep someone without it doing that? =/

When you rep someone, you basically give them about 1% of your rep. I did the math the first time I actually got Rep. It went from 10-649 when aka gave me some. :P

Oh right, I was unaware of this. I didn't take the time to do the maths like you did, I was just aware that I boosted people quite a lot.

Have some Rep for informing me of this :P

Am I too generous?
