So robots are a good thing ?
How would you get more robots to put your site on search engines ?
Robots are a very good thing! If a robot is scouting your site, it means that the search engines can list you in their index and return pages from your site when people search for relevant keywords.

The robots don't tend to index everything immediately, they'll typically index content in bursts. The more robots the better, as it means that more of your content will be indexed even faster, but you need to have a lot of backlinks from other established sites to have more robots visit.

3. Does members having links in signatures benefit the website their currently on & the website they're linking to ?

I know my questions are redundant but i'm just making sure i understand as much as possible.

4. What is hotlinking & why do many consider it a bad thing ?

It's been theorized that Google lends less weight to links from forums (signatures, posts, etc.), but it certainly can't hurt having links in your sig on other forums that point to here. I encourage it, even!

Hotlinking, typically, is when you share an image on a website which is hosted on another website. The image owner's website is doing all the work displaying the image and expending bandwidth, whereas the hotlinker's website is using fewer resources and not expending any additional bandwidth.

When webmasters talk about hotlinking, they'll usually be referring to image hotlinking, but it can be done with all sorts of different formats. On my dmcmods.com site, for example, if I were to were to lift the safety measures and allow people to hotlink mods (some of which weigh in at the 300-400MB mark), then it'd be a huge drain on my server's resources.

But what about being here & having links in your signature pointing there?
It still benefits both right?

I mean for all the links we've all posted here containing source links, our own websites, Steam, Twitter, Facebook, livejournal, blogs, etc. etc & so-on.

OH & i was wondering if for this forum service (XenForo) is it possible to build a forum within this forum ?

Benefits the site any way that people link to it and can access it from other sites and also benefits the site its from as they all link together and they can be indexed easier. Creating these 'loops' between sites is beneficial for everyone.

This addon allows your members to hide specific user's signatures.

There is a permission for the admin to choose who can do this.

There is a link underneath the signature that a user can click to hide the signature. This link then changes to a show signature link if the signature is hidden.

I believe I have seen an option to hide signatures but unsure if its enabled for members or works in this same manner.

A forum within this forum.

I'm not sure all but i know most forums the administrator can create groups (title someone as administrator/moderator, etc)
& private sections where staff only can have talks about whatever away from members.
And decide where members are allowed to go.

Could it be possible to build private sections for each of the forum categories BUT have them serve as penalty boxes as temporary punishment the more disruptive members of the forum?

We do have a staff section here that no-one else can see and could probably be done where certain sections could be segregated off as you would have to create a new user group and give that group permission to that section only. Soon as you want to enforce a penalty you would have to move members to that group.

Thats strange as im browsing on Firefox currently at work and had no such issue and browse on Chrome at home (when my laptop works) and that was fine. Just switched to Chrome in another window and it worked fine for me with no issues. Is every other website you browse working ok and do you follow a bookmark here or do you find us through google link? As maybe your bookmark URL is outdated.

Well every other website works ok except for dmc.org, Dinocrisis.com and Residentevil.org.

Wonder why no-one else has reported the issue as ive tried 4 computers at work and had no issues on any of them on all browsers. Will get @Steve Powell to look into it and see if he has any issues...

Is there a way to turn off or stop seeing the New Profile Posts at the bottom of the forum cause it seems like that's something which is kinda private but is getting displayed to the public like an open chatroom.
Not to mention all the people using it make snippy comments about other members. It's a cool idea, but if it keeps getting abused, then it might be better to just get rid of it.

This is something that's really up to @Steve Powell

I don't think it started out as abuse as much as people forgetting it's public.
But in a general sense there's still that level of being nosy because you actually have to take a look at someone's profile status to actually see what they've said about you in the 1st place.

I mean if a person really didn't care what someone else says about them then they wouldn't be wasting time checking out someone else's profile status now would they.
True, but statuses are being publicly displayed on the main page. It's hard not to see them. So if someone makes a post complaining about you, you're probably going to see it because of it being displayed on the main page.

The reason why people do it is because it makes it possible to complain about someone where they can see it, but without saying it to them directly. That way, if someone gets mad, the person who made the comments can fall back on the whole "well aren't you nosey, reading my status updates."

Sure, people could try to not let that sort of thing bother them. But the people abusing the system could try acting like adults instead of gossipy school children. It's really that simple.

I really think should be turned off because it shows nothing stray conversations no one is asking to see.

Going to someone else's profile status conversations when you're aren't invited is different because you aren't getting an alert notification to a conversation & you've taken it upon yourself to be nosy.

The New Profile Posts is making conversations an open house for all to see.
Oooooh! No no no, see I'm agreeing with you. I'm not talking about people going onto someone else's profile and reading their statuses. I'm talking about people posting a status update that is about someone else and having it show up in the post you just provided an image of.

Steve can switch the feature off for everyone but I would imagine he would want people to vote on if it stays or goes before he makes a decision. I don't think individual members can disable it themselves currently from what I have seen.

How do I change the title of a link I provide? Like, if I provide a link to my art, how do I change it to exactly what it is instead that URL stuff?

I don't follow. Do you mean you want to make a piece of text or an image the link rather than posting the full address, or is it something else? If it is that then there is an option on the text editor with options. That chain is to turn something into a link. Highlight what you want to turn into a link, click the chain, input the URL and there you go.

If it's something else just PM one of us, anyone, and we'll help you out with it.
