  • hey man, quick question.

Why does DMC4 Dante remind you of Snow from FF13?

I think it's the trying too hard to be cool and with the overly "crazy" attitude. Yes, I hate both characters.
I've been watching the DMC anime again, and well...I think I'm starting to prefer Dante's Japanese voice. He just comes off as more natural.

I think it's because his Japanese VA is a professional and usually does characters like Dante.

It also helps that the VA is the same voice as Sephiroth from FF, and Mitsurugi from the Soul series.

Checked out the list of his work, yeah the guy has tons of experience in voice acting and dubbing. Also, totally random, but the guy that voiced Morrison in the Japanese version is the same one that did the voice of every Snake (except Liquid) in Metal Gear series. I can almost imagine it's Old Snake giving orders to Dante. :D
Playing "Spawn: In the Demon's Hand" for Dreamcast with the new X Arcade Stick. It controls surprisingly well...

Spawn is a character that totally deserves a great action game. Why he hasn't got one is beyond me.

The closest thing to a Spawn action game we have is "Darksiders II". The closest thing to a first-person Spawn simulator is "The Darkness II."
A more cinematic Star Fox game that uses the Wii U gamepad for a first-person cockpit mode? Based Miyamoto, have mercy, pls...
Just came back from Universal Studios today. The fact that the "Terminator 2 3D" ride is still intact is a blessing.
Happy Holidays Wolf. Don't let Fox ruin your day.

Even the pretentious fools on the Star Fox Team can't take away the satisfaction of Christmas presents. :)

I hope your holidays are just as enjoyable, Chance. Do the smart thing and savor the glories of your Christmas gift hoard.
Now it has Lock-on. NOW IT HAS 60FPS. WHAT NOW??? Seriously, What now?!
One person quotes me, another person accuses me of something I've never said. Beautiful.

We haven't debated at all, and honestly, I'm not sure I want to. No strokes against @Veloran, but it really seems like he was lumping in Vergil as a whole (INCLUDING his interpretation in DmC), whereas I was talking just about OG Vergil--which I assume was the point of the thread anyway. It was getting heated, and honestly, that's more attention and stress than DMC3 even deserves.
This. Dante's never been a consistent character. The only thing that the four of them have in common is the fact that they all have red, flamboyant coats and effeminate white hair. Honestly, these Elitists get on my last nerve with their pointless comparisons and endless posturing.
I love how everyone's sitting in elitist chairs, awaiting "the return of Classic Dante." Folks, Classic Dante's been missing since DMC1.

There's elitist chairs being handed out to fans of the old Dante?! How come I didn't get one? T^T

You'll find no shortage of carpenters around here, I assure you. Depends on what you classify as Classic Dante, given how each is so different.

I think I'll be more interested in a sculptor... lamp designed after combat adjudicator would be a nice addition. :D
Classic Dante to me - demon/human, white hair, red leather coat, likes Trish, owes to loan shark named Lady, was probably so happy in DMC4 cause of Nero. All four are more or less different in personality, but with them being the same person in everything else, I lump them together for simplicity sake.
