  • Okay, that leaked cinematic got me unexpectedly hyped. They're really raising the stakes for this new game's story...this might actually be the first Devil May Cry game in the main series to have a substantial and well-crafted narrative. That's mind-blowing to even think about.
So I want to ask you how do you feel about that Ubisoft Starfox reveal?

I already thought Starlink looked like a cool game back when they revealed back in 2017. It had customizable ships, semi-open world levels, attack missions...pretty much everything I've wanted Nintendo to do with the Star Fox brand themselves. And now that they've announced the Star Fox crossover, I'm very intrigued. I still have to see more gameplay before I commit to buying the game, though.

Understandable. I saw a few reaction videos and the hype went from "this is ok" to "im buying this" the second Fox was introduced, so I thought I'd hear your opinions on it seeing as how you don't seem to be like the kinda person who jumps ships at the mere sight of fanservice. Glad you're liking it, though!

If Starlink does well, and Nintendo sees it, UbiSoft may ask Nintendo to do the next Star Fox game. Nintendo has been teasing a lot of Star Fox in the direct video released early this morning...

The new Han Solo movie has a worst audience score than the live-action Mortal Kombat movie. The MORTAL KOMBAT movie. I....I don't even...

@Carlos Honestly, that wasn't my biggest problem with the film: Han Solo just isn't done justice as a character by the script. His arc from an idealist to a cynic makes no sense, he's handed most of his characteristic possessions without really earning them organically, and he just comes off more as bumbling/uber-comedic than suave or cool. He's more like Finn in the new movies than like Han from the OT.

Hence: It goes all the way back to having Ford in the film. A film like a Han Solo film does not work without Ford in there, you need an pre-established actor father (like the original Han Solo) to "play off of." Ford can be funny when he wants to be, and that's how he was able to make a joke in a Star Wars film, than a new guy would. It's how they introduced Indiana Jones' son in the last Indiana Jones film.

Well, we had a an entire TV series starring a slew of younger actors playing Indiana Jones at different stages of his life, and it wasn't a problem. Probably because they got the character's mannerisms and persona right. I don't think lack of Ford is necessarily the issue. It's the lack of the character acting like the character. And that's completely on the writing.

Here's to 40+ years of Star Wars, and 30 years' worth of Expanded Universe stories that will always decimate Disney's Trainwreck of a canon. All Hail the EU, and #MayTheFourthBeWithYou.
Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles, and now Shenmue in HD. Sega have officially cemented themselves the savior of the PS4's dying library.
Disney Wars logic: Local firefighters fail to stop fire consuming a home, causing deaths. This is proof that trusting safety to Fire & Rescue is vanity. It's time to dismantle Fire & Rescue everywhere because of this, despite there being no alternative to replace them. It's time for firefighters...to end. Sound stupid? That's because it is.
Jesus, the Japanese reviews for The Worst Jedi on Amazon Japan and Yahoo Eiga are simply SCALDING. When the only nation that worships Star Wars more than us Americans are rejecting your film, there's a massive problem. I guess the Rashomon references didn't pay off after all, Rian.
Today marks the 10th Anniversary of The Clone Wars TV Series, and our long, awe-striking journey into my favorite conflict of the Star Wars universe. Some of the best and most rewarding storytelling in the saga.
So, there's already talk of making a Snoke prequel or Knights of Ren spin-off in order to fill in the gaping holes in Worst Jedi's plot. You will literally have to pay more money in order to make a prior Star Wars movie make any sense. This is almost like cinematic DLC.

Did you hear the story that broke the other day about how JJ wrote drafts for Episodes 8 & 9 but Rian Johnson scrapped it and wrote his own story. :(

I'm not about to cry crocodile tears over Abram's ideas getting scrapped. Keep in mind, Abrams is recorded in saying that he loved Johnson's script so much that he "wished he'd written it himself." The only person who was actively protesting all of Johnson's story ideas was Colin Treverrow, who was against the weaksauce deaths of Luke & Snoke from the beginning. And Lucasfilm ended up firing him for it.

Today marks the 25th Anniversary of my favorite game series, Star Fox. It's crazy the series has endured this long, where so many less obscure and niche series are long-dead. Here's to another 25 years of galactic heroism.
My all-time favorite Star Fox game, Star Fox Assault, was released 13 years ago on this day. What a fantastic game, and so many memories.
"Man, Star Wars fans are out of control! These nerds take their passion WAY too seriously!" (Meanwhile, a sports fan eats horse manure live on camera in response to the Super Bowl results).
so wolf, you're a star wars guy right, and i don't know if its just me, but is solo going abrams' trek direction (but in a better way)? and not that i mind, but i'm wondering how you feel about it..

PS again : i swear man, the trailer looks so good.. you might wanna give the trailer a try, but if you don't like abrams trek, well you'll understand when you've seen the trailer

Even for Star Wars material I'm looking forward to, like Rebels, I never watch trailers for. It's far better just to go in completely foreign to footage everyone else has seen to death via trailers and TV spots...so I'll just judge the movie when I see it. IF I decide to see it.

I'm in the midst of so much work, even I forgot about my own birthday too. I appreciate the well-wishing immensely.
