Indeed, other than that, there's really not much to it other than a vague reference. I think the shadow at the end works in tandem with the mysterious woman at the beginning . On their own, they make no sense.

I would like that very much. Dante and Laharl share so much similarities that it's hard to believe it wasn't intentional. The stories are similar and Mao looks a lot like a geeky Dante, white hair, red coat and all.

I think it's because of power. The more power a demon has, the more he could abuse. Not a well cinstructed theory on my part, just what's on my mind. Also, why did Dante's hair grow? I mean, I get why it turned white, but the growth still bugs me.
