Would old Vergil kill Lilith?

Yes, DMC Vergil would kill Lilith.The only time we see the word "honor" being used towards Vergil was in DMC1, but in the novel Kamiya proudly helped to write immediately subverts this: not only Vergil slashes anything that moves( or not), but he deceives Nell Goldenstein, saying he wants to buy a gun, the same gun he uses to shot this old defenceless human woman, he sets fire to her home with her inside, just to mock Dante.
In DMC3 manga Vergil recognizes he needs Arkham to open the door to the demon world, but he plans to get rid of him as soon as he can.
So, yes, most of honor thing has its foundation on headcanon or Word of Dante trope than in reality.Most of the things people think to know about DMC characters were already subverted by DMC media.
 
to be fair when arkham made his entrance to vergil, vergil was most likely thinking "ok, this guy seems to know way to much for this to be a coincidence and he's being very pushy, it seems like he's going to use me then just try to get rid of me, better play along until he outlives his usefulness

Like Metal Gear fans hate the star of the franchise. Plus Snake is his baby (Meryl I heard is actually his favorite character though) and if we want to talk about characters he wants people to hate then it's Raiden because Raiden himself was a satire character and part of Kojima's message of post modernism. That's a whole other can off worms though and I don't have the patience to dive in to the whole point of MGS 2 right now.

Snake being in Smash doesn't matter. He was there because the Twin Snakes made its way to Gamecube so Nintendo was able to get in on that Metal Gear goodness. Metal Gear Solid is still a Sony child more than anything.
 
Meryl came from Policenauts, which he helped make a long-ass time ago. Or maybe it was a long ass-time. Hyphens are fun!

They are still different characters though even though they share the same name.
 
Classic Vergil would've killed the entire cast of DmC. Why you ask? Because he'll want power and if DmC Mundus can be "immortal" thanks to the Hell gate how could any DMC fan not expect Classic Vergil to slaughter Ninja Theory's take on Capcom's devilish fairy tale cast?!

Maybe Mundus, but not Dante. new Dante would own Old Vergil hands down.
