What are you watching right now?

You should play the games. It's basically what you'd expect from a Indiana Jones game.

I just watched the "Sonic The Hedgehog" movie. So. Good. Better than I expected. Hopefully, the same team does the sequel.
I actually started playing the 4th game on my brother in law's PS4. I never got around to finishing it.

Tonight i watched Penny Dreadful City of angels. Its a spinoff centered around 1930s LA. It focuses on a metaphorical between Santa Muerte and a stand in for Satan named Magda.

Its pretty good but draws parallels between current events and real world history in the present day.

Just finished watching Rise of Skywalker.

An absolute abomination. And confirmed my suspicions when I first saw Rey as to her origins.

What a terrible film. Please please please let that be the utter end of all this cash cow milking...

You missed that train when it was in theaters. We agree. It was a mess. Especially the whole "sister/boyfriend-ish" kiss.

Watched it yesterday myself and was utterly forgettable (never thought I would ever say that about a Star Wars movie), really wish they had a backbone and actually had both Rey and Ben turn fully to the darkside that would have been far more interesting. Although Adam Driver did well with his material I just didnt like Rey as a character at all and a heel turn type event would have been welcome. So many moments that made me scratch my head or shrug at the missed opportunity at what direction they could have taken with certain plotlines.

I'm sure Daisy Ridley is a lovely person and maybe even talented in anything else, but she was wooden and boring and stale...it felt like one massive "ok, so we gotta get gurlz in teh franchyze or we r not rellavunt" for the entire trilogy. The fact I of all people was able to accurately predict her lineage from the very beginning shows how stupid it was.

Going back to watching Captain Underpants- now THAT'S quality cinema right there...

The new trilogy really centered around Ben Solo and Luke Skywalker's relationship. That was the reason for everything and that was what I was waiting to see resolved. Rey was somewhat irrelevant - the lack of a proper arc for her seemed evident from the second film. They could have had Luke trying to sort the mess he created which would have been more in character, but we had to have Rey to please the SJWs and we had to bring back Palpatine because it looks like they were just out of other ideas.

Ben Solo was an interesting character. Rey was not.

Just finished 22 Miles.

Absolutely amazing film - I'd recommend it to anyone

Promare - Studio Trigger is basically the Platinum games of anime now. God, I love them. This movie is basically Fire Force, but better. Basically about people who can use fire called the Burnish. They started when people began combusting. **** went bad, and now there are forces dedicated to putting out fires caused by the Burnish. But are the Burnish as evil as the film and in-universe news makes them out to be? Hhhhhhhmmmmmm....

If you're a fan of Kill La Kill, Gurren Laggan, and Panty & Stocking, you will love this. If you are not familiar with any of those, you will most likel love this film. The animation is once again top notch, and Trigger always seems to outdo themselves when it comes to action scenes. I did not get a chance to see it theaters, but it's still nice viewing it on the big screen. The dubbing has an all star cast: Kari Walgreen (Haruko from FLCL), Steve Blum, and Johnny Yong Bosch (Using his Nero and Ichigo voice, He even does Nero scream). Ironic, because at the beginning of the movie he pulls a, Urizen/Dracula slouch of villainy pose. The dubbing is on point, the movie does not waste time nor feels like it's going too fast, and it lands all the right beats on funny, heartwarming, tear jerking, and nightmare.

If there is a flaw, is that you don't get see enough of Galo's (main character) team on the fire fighter side. They are there, but it's pretty obvious the movie is more about Galo and Lio. If this were a TV series, it would not be much of a problem. Then again, I don't know how they would have topped the finally in the film. So I am not that bothered by it.

I got the film yesterday in the mail, and watched it at night. I got steel book case edition.

Old horror movies. Right now I'm watching a black & white british movie called Dead of Night. An anthology.

Dominic Cummings' statement as to why he went over 200 miles away whilst infected with the virus.

The lady doth protest too much...:meh:

EDIT: Oh my gosh, if he doesn't have a piece of paper in front of him, telling him what to say, he can't cope. Mate, you've screwed up on a stellar level and your excuse is "my child! my child! I did nothing wrong!"

Yet thousands of Covid sufferers across the country have stayed home despite unbearable circumstances for many, with small kids, with no other adults, with no help, no money and no luxury estate in Durham to flee to. Resign, you muppet. You are utterly useless to us now.
