I find it amusing that, when an entire fandom dislikes something created for it, everyone in it just...collectively pretends it never happened until the fandom's creator says otherwise. There's no real discussing it between everyone whether or not it happened. Just a silent consensus that the thing sucked. And everyone is like "yeah, we don't talk about that because it didn't happen" whenever a new fan brings it up. Once it reaches a point where it can't cause fights anymore and no one cares enough to bring it up, the fandom's basically created a new version of Schrodinger's cat: it's two different types of dead.

+ Pretty sure the heat has finally killed the roses, despite my best efforts. =( What has this taught me? I grow plants best indoors. Gonna see if I can find a terrarium next. -should try growing moss-

Nothing quite like going to grab your towel after a shower to find a rather large and rather dead dragonfly hanging off of it... Effing cripes, did that give me a fright. The big question is: how and when did it get in?

One of my friends asked me to help him get better at writing (why he thinks I could help is...another thing entirely, but thanks for the vote of confidence) and I said yes...so everyday I'm asking him if he wants me to give him his first prompt and he's just like :|. I think he thought I would forget. No. This is why I'm asking everyday. Specifically so I don't forget. ._. Writing is serious business.

...I say while posting WIPs on Tumblr and joking about pwps and random crack fics with @Rebel Dynasty. What? I'm adulting just fine!

Aww, thank you. =3 I hope he does, too...the big problem is that he won't practice. If he's not in the mood to write, he won't even consider trying and so he's not improving. I've tried explaining that this is the time to practice (write stuff you never considered writing before; if it turns out terrible, you know what you need to work on; if it turns out great, keep at it), but.... -sighs- I'm gonna try again tonight while he's giving me word sprints.
LOL I assumed we were attempting it. XD If not, well...this changes things. XD

Turns out I'm something of a Pokémon magnet. Went for a walk in the woods with my sister so she could collect Pokémon without looking completely stupid (didn't work) and they all seemed to congregate upon my jumper.

Six Pokémon in 20 minutes, all sitting on me.

Rather unnerving. But not quite as unnerving as my 35 year old sister squealing with excitement and mispronouncing all the names.

FYI she can't throw a pokeball for love nor money.
