Yeah...Although I meant a couple of the guys that use XNA in my watchers...it's a bit like being back in school (ya know, having the kids sat next to you copying :lol: )

Like I said before: take it as a weird compliment.^_^ Then again, xnalara is quite popular on DA, so it could be a weird coincidence that they're doing stuff like yours....who knows?:/ You could always unfollow them if it's bothering you a lot.
If I keep taking it as a compliment, I'm gonna end up with a massive ego lol
I've thought about that, but it's probably a 'petty' reason if anyone asks.
What kind of things are they doing away? Copying or stealing paintings and sketches? Do they steal xnalara models that you made yoursef?>_< That would really bug me if someone plagiarised a painting or drawing that I did.
As for xnalara, I'd be really annoyed if someone took a model I made from scratch and then claimed it was theirs or used it without permission.
On the other hand, if it was a model that I had been loaned by another creator to use in the program, I wouldn't be bothered at all because it's not like I made the model or anything. I have no legal claim to a model I didn't make so people can pretty much do anything they want with it.
It's really irritating as an artist when people who have no talent of their own use creations other people have made and then claim credit, or say they are being original when they never even made the model/ artwork in the first place. >_<
Actually, it reminds me of that kickstarter comic that was banned because it turns out the 'creators' stole images from various anime and traced them with changes to hair and clothing. :lol:

What I didn't realise until later was that the artist I had commented on was a 21 year old woman.>_< But her artwork seemed like she was a kid or a young teenager. Her page was full of bases of poses and characters which had been drawn on with her OCs...quite badly, I might add. So, naturally I assumed either young teenager or kid....not going to make that mistake again. :lol:>_<

I can't make XNAlara models *isn't that clever, can't use blender*. It's just twice now where work has popped up that looks similar to mine.
Vergil in a Vest and Dante hiding his 'bits' with a slice of pizza.
Creators of the models always do disclaimers (e.g. Dante belongs to Capcom I own nothing etc.) Then anyone else who uses that model credits the person that 'ripped' and converted the model. I have my own Nite and Vergil models so I say they're mine (it's my way of saying... I'm not sharing lol, plus someone made them for me for *personal* use.)
I don't mind people using bases as long as they don't make a habit out of it. There is someone on my watch list who either uses bases or those doll maker programs and I've just given up fav-ing 'their' work.
It was a HEDGEHOG!!! The little thing was walking around the front garden. It resulted in this little conversation:
Mum: What's it doing?
Me: Collecting rings...
Mum: *laughs*
Me: Seriously, what do you think it's doing?!

Ah, I see. I was going to say if they had stolen models you made, that would be really annoying. I know I'd be mad if someone did it.
But I guess you can't stop people using poses, it's not like you can copyright them...that would be weird.
As for the Dante and pizza one, I have seen that before, quite a lot. Considering that happens to Dante in the game, I'm not surpised that people are doing that kind of pose. It seems quite popular.:lol:I think bases are a good way of getting started, but there has to come a time were people should try to make their own art. How else can someone imporve if they are using work someone else has made as a base.
You should try and make your own models. It's fun. Sure, it takes a little work, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier. If you need help with that kind of thing, I could give you tips, or there are people on the modding section who could help.
