Weird, odd, and funny.

Vergilissexy

Wesker's #1 fan!
You know what I find weird, odd, and funny? The fact that game develepers go through so much crap and hard work to come up with and create these designs of demons, tenticle monsters, super cat ninjas, or whatever the hell you battle in a game, that will ensure that gamers have a very fun experience and a good time playing the game.

And after all that time, sweat, and blood they use to ensure our enjoyment, the fights that end up being the best are the ones against the simple humaniod designs. (Vergil DMC3, Dante DMC4, Krauser RE4, Zeus and Ares GOW, ect.)

Does anyone else agree? Know a game that relates to this subject? Feel free to discuss.

lol, that is true, maybe not always true, i enjoyed battleing beowulf, but i did enjoy vergil aswel, (DMC3) but that does seem odd lol

Weird: How games developers can put so much damn time and effort into creating some glorious idea that would be sure to fetch millions, and then the CEO of the company can toss it out, declaring it's not player accessible, family friendly or just plain enjoyable enough for an audience.
EG: Psychonauts, when Tim Schafer, an original member of the Lucasarts team came up with this idea, it was pretty much tossed out, then he leaves, creates his own company, makes the game, and even though on its release, it was considered one of the greatest platformers ever, no one bought it, weird that, isn't it?

Odd: The Halo series, 'nuff said really, how can people actually willingly enjoy a series that prides itself on repeating the same damn gameplay mechanics again and again? (Hides behind Anti-Flames barrier.)

Funny: Battlefield: Bad Comapany. Awesome level design, a few flaws, great gameplay, but all the glaring flaws are made up for by the insanely funny dialogue, so that's going in my funny list, games that can make up for any flaw because everything that goes on in it is so damn hilarious.

Humanoid-like characters are those who eventually rise above any other kind of creature.

Silent Hill - Humanoid-like deformed creatures always beat any other kind of creature.

Resident Evil - Mutation of humanoid-like bodies, like Nemesis.

Half-Life - Zombies and other related creatures to humanoid-like bodies are always the most monstrous and intriguing.

^ Gotta agree with you Kyle on Halo. It is a repetitive gameplay and seriously, Half-Life is way more deep and awesome.

Halo (especially Halo 3) is beyond over-hyped. It was by total luck the game presented more on the original Xbox, due to it being nothing beyond special. The story is 'ok' and it's only main point, but the FSP gameplay got boring. I found it amusing playing with a friend(s) only.

I'm surprised, I get more support than flames for my Halo statement, this pleases me.

And yes, I am quite aware of the hypocrisy of the fact that the 3rd game on my Recently Played list is in fact, Halo 3, but that's because, as NerosDevil says, it's only enjoyable with a friend, which is precisely what I was doing.

Everything in Halo is sub-par. the story, gameplay mechanics, everything, the multiplayer slightly makes up for it, but not enough to justify the MASSIVE hype it got, which is why I list it as my "Odd" choice.

Hey dawg, I support you too. Halo is some bull**** for real.

Wierd: Killer 7 - Honestly, this game is freaking wierd as ****, and anyone who played it knows what I'm talking about. The gameplay is tedious, the story is more complex than the US government, and the characters are just downright CRAZY. Despite this, I STILL like Killer 7 better than Halo series!

Odd: People still bitchin' about PS3 being expensive and having no games. Whatever....STFU.

But the PS3 doesn't have any games, or barely any exclusive games worth buying a extremely expensive colsole over apart from Tekken6 and MGS4. If DMC4 were only on the PS3 i'd have gotten one but ya know....
i'd rather get a cheap console with hundreds of games even if the graphics are only a smidge less.
Then again i'm being a hypocrite since i'm buying one for Christmas with EMA and FCF only because I want to play with a certain friend online from MSN XD

cant agree anymore halo sucks!
as for the designs i always thought that human and humanoid like creatures made better designs in games especially in horror ones since you think could i too transform into something like that?

Case......in point.

-Sigh- Let's shy away from the fanboy remarks, please? Tis not the intention Vergilissexy had for this thread, I'm sure.

The PS3 has yet to show the full potential it can muster, that's all I will say on the matter.
