I'm so sad that I missed the stream (damn you school). Vergil seems awesome from what I've read and Dimensional Slash looks jawdroppingly beautiful. Looking forward to seeing Lady and Trish in action!

I still don't get how teleportation really works, sometimes it looked like he was all over the place with his teleporting

Vergil looks like he was specifically made for LDK mode. He has a lot of moves that focus on crowd destruction. I'm making a guess here but the way he has access to all these super finishers makes me think that the reason he can do them was because there were so many enemies to build the concentration trigger with. With less enemies on regular modes to do it with it would probably be harder to build up the gage and pull off those moves. It's like building DT when you have so many opponents to do it with; when you have 5 or 6 enemies it can take a bit of time but when you have 20 and you can't miss it builds up in less than 20 seconds.


While on the subject of streams, Capcom-Unity said they would start to stream DMC4 in the first few weeks of April. Well, April is half way over and they still haven't started to stream or announce when they will start those streams.

Actually it's easier being hit when a large ass crowd of demons is around, so on paper it should be easier to build concentration on the other modes, not LDK.

Doesn't dodging also build your concentration gage? From what I saw of LDK mode the enemies don't attack as vigorously as all that, so even with their numbers a move like stinger can hit 3 to 5 enemies and all the benefits that come with it which should more than compensate for the hits he takes from one or two enemies. Add to that that the basis of concentration is hitting enemies without missing and with that much abundance a large attack is likely to not miss, did you see how many opponents he hit with the rapid slash? in the most ideal situations on normal modes he couldn't get that many hits.

well you can build dt withpit taking any damage with dante in LDK using royal guard , so I suppose vergil must have a way of doing it too maybe through dodging or clean hits

All I have to say is that "Concentration" is one hell of a brilliant mechanic and it works wonderfully with Vergil's Darkslayer fighting style.
