Yeha, he was cool. I kinda wish the hell gate demons got a bit more screen time. Maybe not Echidna though. She was just weird, crapping out babies like that....:/

I think Nero's story would have been better if they made him more of a believer in the Order's teachings.Nero finding out about what was really going and having to stop it would have had a stronger effect. Also if capcom would have put more depth into Kryie, saving would have actually ment something. As it stands right now, didn't really care too much for her.

He did even like The Order. I'm guessing he only stuck with it for Kyrie. He seemed happy taking them all down.

That's something else. I would have found Credo's losing faith in The Order better if it had not revolved around Agnus and Sanctus using Kyrie. What about the fact that Sanctus got Agnus to make hell gates, set demons on the town and then have the Saviour statue show up to make it look like they saved the day. That's reason enough to lose faith.

So basically the plot was about a crazy old guy who wanted to make more followers for his religion by saving them from a problem he caused. :P

Yep, Credo doesn't mind that the hightest members of the order are demons or that they told him to hunt down Nero who he thought was a friend or even that they are gonna open a hell gate unleash a bunch of demons that are gonna kill alot of people. No he gets ****ed when they nab his sister

I thought there should've been more play with the fact that they worship Sparda, and Sanctus's seeming realization that Nero was somehow connected to Sparda. Also Dante too; do they understand that he's a son of Sparda? Sure he just shot their high priest in the face (LOL), but he got better, and in any case it's still the son of the god you're worshiping...

I should have been more specific and said it was about the combat. My fault. I know very well that DMC4 falls short in the story department and the idiotic backtracking.

I agree on that, DmC is pretty much an excellent entry point for new players. However, DmC still lacks the depth DMC3 and 4 offered.

All right then. It's good to see that you're willing to give a little leeway. But, no more name-calling.

Only thing that ever really came of it was they knew his name and Sactus planned to use him as the core of the Savior(lul, wut, how?! The guy eats DEMON GODS for breakfast at that point!). Game would have been way my interesting if it also followed Credo in a crisis of faith after everything PLUS Sanctus and Agnus using Kyrie as human shield/bait

Sounds cool but could potentially become really messy and all over the place with that plot. Focusing on Nero would have been fine if they just wrote him better and made Kyrie into an actual character.

Well, consider the idea of the cinematics following Credo to lead up to his heel-turn, while the game itself does follow Nero, and, as heretical as it sounds, CUT Dante's section out. hell, even maybe replace Dante's missions with Credo, so it's not a totally disjointed Narrative and just backtracking through Nero's mission, and also allowed for some new mechanics being implimented for Credo and his "Angel" trigger.

That could have potentially been really cool, I would not be upset if Dante was cut out entirely, I found myself wishing for it when i played the game all those years anyway.

Credo was my favorite boss fight in that game and could have had some cool gameplay mechanics but I think the fan outrage would have been crazy for that.

Fighting Credo was awesome. I wish he'd had more health for the fight to be longer. >_<

Dante could still be a playable character in bloody palace and perhaps a simple unlockable player for playing through the campaign. Sure, Nero has those glowing orbs he sometimes traverses the levels by, but we solve that easily by giving Dante some traversal ability to take advantage or the orb, or just TAKE THAT POINTLESS BULLSHIT OUT.

That would've been rather awesome. But then maybe they were having flashbacks of Lucia...

Guys...guys seriously. Let's drop this argument over which is better..
and talk about the superior game here: Cooking Mama. There is no other game as amazing as this one, no other game as professional and hard working and in-depth as thi- Alright I'm done.
But, I basically agree with everyone here, Chaser, Angel, etc. It's all a matter of opinion, both sides are at wrong here. And honestly, DmC and DMC deserve their rightful places in the series.
This is how I like to think of things: If you looove gameplay, play DMC. If you love story, play DmC. It's simple, or you could be like me, and many others, who love both equally as if they are family.
Someone hates something you love, swallow your pride, it's their opinion. Sure, you have the right, and they do too. To counteract their argument and debate, hell in my opinion debates are fun! Mostly seeing the pros and cons of both sides...then agreeing with each other on the topic.
So, both sides are indeed at fault here..maybe because sometimes someone can't keep their mouth shut and go around yelling and hating each other for liking/hating something. It will not stop, but atleast we know there are some nice decent people out there (Mulitbro, and others on both sides) who can actually get along.
