You know what p****es me off? I'm looking through a web store to see if they have that steel case edition of RE4 and in the used section some a'holes, for more than it would be worth, list the game but on the side note they mentioned that there is no case to go with that game. RE4 is worth, at the most,$ 10 on the PS2, and I've seem it for $2 without the case. Are you really charging $25 for a game that only has a DVD as an extra (it's a 10 min. thing, too)? Without the case? The fricken' case is the selling point, you wanker!

When you try the same exam the 176548097865875th time and still fail.

The 176548097865876th time.

Jesus Christ. What did I do wrong THIS time. You'd think that after 176548097865875 times you did all the errors possible.

I really need to stop watching book reviews on youtube about books I like; this one reviewer in particular is just...ugh. Pretentious. I liked some of her other stuff, but a good writer a reviewer does not make. I mean, if you're going to bitch about not having all of the facts in the first book--in a series--then put the books down, honey. By all means, take up the pen (or keyboard) yourself, and let's see if you can do any better.

Also, stop saying he's "derogatory toward women". Sugar plum, are you just that freaking sheltered, or are you unaware of what derogatory actually means? Is he a tad misogynistic? Oh, absolutely. But he's also not a fool; he knows strong and capable women when he sees them, and to those, he shows the utmost respect. Plus reasons that crop up in later books. I don't see you focusing on any of his more endearing traits, but by all means, let's pick apart this one thing, like there's nothing else to him.

Same goes for world-building in other novels. If you haven't seen all of the world(s) yet, and you know the book's in a series--shut up and sit down. I guarantee you'll see more in the next.

In sum, stop assuming the author didn't know what they were doing or hadn't factored in the details you'd like to see more of; he/she undoubtedly were all over that **** long before the first copy was released to print. Just because you don't know yet, doesn't mean it wasn't part of the author's master plan all along. :/

Gods, some people are so short-sighted...

I think most reviewers, whether it comes to games, books, movies or otherwise, fully realise that they wouldn't be able to do better themselves. They're there for giving criticism on works to let people know whether they think something is good, even if their own attempt at it would be terrible.

Don't get me wrong though, the thought pops into my head too and often times their argument is just plain bad when I think 'like you can do better'.

I find I don't mind the reviews when they're handled in an objective manner, in which the reviewer makes it clear that their opinions are simply that; opinion. This particular one, however, had a tendency of saying, "this book in -blank- series is definitely better than the first two".

I must get hung up on details, because when I heard the word "definitely", my first impulse was to say, "No, not definitely--in your opinion".

Lol, I'm just weirdly grumpy with that mindset for some reason, lately. :P Maybe Mercury is in retrograde...

Splinter Cell, why are you not recognizing my joypad? I ain't playing using keyboard/mouse combo, that's just really awkward and bad for wrists.
Meh, I'll keep you as something my brother might like.

What model are you using?

Bad for wrists? I've played with keyboard and mouse all my life like lots of other people (besides doing university and school stuff with them) and my wrists are totally fine.

Err... says SmartBox PM25C3 on the back. Works on almost all games, only some racing games couldn't recognize it so far.

I guess it depends on the wrists, mine have been known to hurt from being in such position for longer time.

@Viper
You could try using XPadder. Emulates keyboard and mouse inputs on a controller.

Easy to use, you just assign the keyboard or mouse input to a button on the controller. For example, to move the character assign W to Left Stick Up, S to Left Stick Down and so on, for shooting assign the mouse movements to the right stick and the mouse click to the right trigger etc etc.

Pretty intuitive, give it a shot.

I am so, so mad at people today. So a cousin of one of my cousins--all by marriage, since there's no blood binding us--posted a meme. Suffice it to say, said meme was kind of making fun of the way white people age in contrast to people of other ethnicities.

The meme itself didn't bother me. The "Us vs. them" crap that cropped up in the comments, however? That definitely did. Basically, one Filipina assuming the white woman she was arguing with had never "suffered prejudice a day in her white, privileged life".

This. Effing. Irked. Me.

Since when did being white mean living a privileged life? Let's look at the facts, shall we?

Said cousin (and cousin of cousin), both Filipino, have lived in good homes, with parents that gave them everything they ever wanted, to the point of spoiling them--cousin especially being an entitled brat for most of our childhood together. She had it all, and her cousin, let's call him J, had it no differently.

Then enter me: times of near poverty, boiling water on the stove for bathing, eating peanut butter out of the jar because there was next to nothing else in the house, living in fear of the step-parent (through whom which I'm bound to these super privileged, yet "discriminated against" cousins)--seriously, where they live, being white is the effing minority; more Filipino, Chinese, and Indians in Mississauga than white people. A life of emotional and physical abuse, neglect, and being bullied throughout nearly every school year. That was my life.

Yet, because I'm white, I'm supposedly "privileged". Being privileged is something based on individual circumstances, not race.

Mainly, I'm sick of people thinking racism is a one-way street. It ****ing isn't. Assuming all whites have had a silver spoon life is just as bad as people thinking all blacks are criminals, all Germans are Nazis, and all Mexicans are lazy.

What ever happened to judging people on their own merits? Skin's got **** all to do with whether someone's a good person or a dick. It's the 21st Century; people need to get their heads out of their asses.
