Sorry for the double post, but it seems that Bloody Palace will be in the game, but with a new name. Maybe a arena mode, I guess.

About Vergil being playable, Jones said: " We're seeing what you guys like, so keep your hopes up and maybe we'll make something happen".

He didn't say "No"!

When he was asked about Bloody Palace, Jones and the crew teased the public, by saying it would have a different name.

The user said that the monologue scene was basically a 1 or 2 minutes video cell rendered drawings from scenes of Dante's life before the events of DmC. The voice actor for Dante was narrating it
Pardon my language but F**************K YEAAAAAAAAH! :D Bloody Palace mode is in!
And that sounds like a cool extra feature, I hope it's in the game! :)

Lol, yeah, I can't wait anymore until January. I wish I could buy a time machine and adjust it for January just to play it, in order to come back to tell you about such experience, haha. XD

Let's see what more Japanese Jade has to say...

Yes, I want to hear more! :)

According to Japanese Girl, Jones was pretty straight foward about DLC. He was adamant about no on disc DLC. He also said that DLC wasn't planned during the development stages.

She also said there were lots of DMC fans there, the room was light hearted with laughter and cheers for DmC. Many people were saying they would give the game a chance and that they were surprised with NT's style.

Well all that is good to hear, I really wished they would have recorded this session so people could see the positivity around the game instead of negativity all the time.

Yeah, unfortunately there is a lot of bias around the new trailer, but surprisingly the likes on that video is at 50/50. Some think that just because a guy is arrogant and dares to say what I feels merits something to be out of your purchase plan, because that somehow gives them the idea that it's the right thing to do for future projects.

I don't know. Live and learn. I remember David Jaffe being a hard ass towards fans (literally saying f*ck you in the making of vid), no one complained. So if you make a great game, that gives you leeway into crapping on people that give you money? If that's not BS i don't know what is.

Can I just have a demo? Sorry if I sound really whiny, I just really want to play it before deciding on buying it and I need time for that.

I think she was spot on, regarding one valid complaint, though.

They keep trying to compare original Dante and the new Dante, by bringing differences between West and East. She said they did show 5 examples of how original Dante would be laughable in Western films. They did use power point to show some stuff.

DEMO! DEMO! DEMO!
Yeah the wait to play this game is killing me.

Finally, he ( yes, it's a man, lol) said about recording stuff:

" would've recorded it myself but my DSLR was acting awry today with the video function. I saw professional video equipment in the back but whether they'll upload it or not is completely unknown to me. They didn't discourage pictures or video recordings so maybe if you search something along the lines of "NYCC DmC Panel" you'll find it on youtube. It was like 45 minutes.

I think I spilled all the vital info about what I learned today. Anything else is minor by now if I haven't said it,

I have to warn any antis though, if you find that footage, prepared to be appalled. The presentation about "East Cool Vs West Cool" will **** you off. It annoyed me and I'm really anticipating this game."

I agree on what west feels is cool (to the general audience) isn't that cool to the east and vice versa.I mean, can you honestly adapt an anime like Inuyasha point by point? Maybe, but it would look incredibly silly to the general audience.
A eastern creation that takes more roots on western culture is a better plan. Something like Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop and so on.
Exhibit A: Dragonball Evolution, a great example of a horrendous adaptation. Changed too much for the wrong reasons.
Exhibit B: Enslaved, a great example of an interesting adaption. Yet, it tries to be original in it's own right and that's good.
That's why I view this DmC the this way. I may not be completely sold on it (because i seriously need my hands on that demo) but I look at it as an adaptation of eastern concepts.
Why can't they just hire me to speak for the PR? I would sell a thousand more copies. I'm not even kidding.

Tis true! I didn't realize you were relaying all the information from gamefaqs until I checked these forums. The Capcom Unity forum for DmC is pretty low so I thought I'd come here to repost all of it but lord of behold, you were the good Samaritan to deliver the msg. Nice job x)

I enjoyed what I played a lot, guys. The public demo should be coming before the release so keep your live memberships gold (or PSN accounts on standby)!

I think the only thing that DmC is really lacking, is a solid PR. Earlier games had a clear and objective focus. With DmC, it just seems to be all over the place.

I think many people could dislike the whole talk about East and West, based on that. That's why they should focus on gameplay, gameplay and the game itself. Forget East and West.

I don't doubt, you could really rock by speaking for the PR. :)

Exactly! Who cares about what's cool in the East and what's cool in the West? You know what's cool in both the East and the West? A game with good gameplay.

From the presentation they gave today, that seems to be the whole thesis of their argument. This whole "East Cool vs West Cool" seems to drive the very core of how they approached this re-imagination. It really shows too. Capcom Japan must've been ashamed of how badly they handled Kamiya's franchise. For them to want to "westernize it" so badly only shows the goal of what this game is really trying to do. It almost feels like gameplay is secondary to sales. They kept talking about trying to make DmC reach Western film standards which is a huge stride. To do that with a game that was built originally on Eastern roots its practically impossible but Ninja Theory has come a long way with their presentations.

Sometimes Japanese developers do make games based on what is cool in the West.

Example:

It was a very great game but the Japanese public didn't show much interest in because it wasn't for Japanese style (Gears of War beefy guys with chainsaws, buff pimps, and gansta stereotypes don't meet well with Japanese people's standards) or maybe SEGA is to blame for their poor advertising skills (Sega's thought process "Not Sonic......don't give a sh*t")
