My biggest gripe with 4 is how it really was the most action heavy game the series has had. It really killed the stealth element at times. MGS 4 does have the biggest nostalgia bomb ever in video game history though. Thing is also with MGS 4, you know Hideo Kojima is a person who can talk for hours and say nothing lol.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is arguably the best in the entire series. That game had so many memorable moments and blew my mind in the right way like MGS 1 did. I adore Snake Eater.

The ending in MGS4, holy ****, he came back from the dead to talk your ears off and then dies. Again.

MGS4 made me realise MGS1 contemporary (though far-fetched) settings and coherency was a fluke. I've never played MGS3 but is it like a cross between MGS2 and Peace Walker?

Well excuse me Master of the f*cking universe. I don't hate Devil May Cry. The VERY FIRST game is still my favorite out of them all. I just enjoy DmC just as well. I'm not wrong in that and it doesn't make you the superior human being. Video games are a form of casual recreation. I had fun with DmC so it did its job for me. I don't take Devi May Cry seriously. I just want to play a fun game when I got the time. I enjoy both DMC and DmC.

Plus this is what really p!sses me off about your comment, you act as if your purist views to a series like Devil May Cry makes you better. Devil May Cry fans wrote a petition to Obama upset about the reboot. They sent death threats to Ninja Theory. They have been whining about his stupid haircolor and trivial aspects for years. They jump anyone's sh!t who just enjoys DmC. I personally got attacked in gamestop unprovoked because I was buying DmC and my hair looks similar to Dante's. They have been overall complaining about something as stupid as a VIDEO GAME FOR OVER 2 YEARS! You people have now put the Devil May Cry fanbase officially as one of the worst gaming fandoms out there. People like you make me wish I wasn't even a fan. This is just a video game. It doesn't hold much relevance in my life when it comes to my priorities. I simply enjoy just playing games when I can. I'm a college student. I work 2 different kinds of jobs. I can't pay games as much as I use to. I simply just like playing a fun game. Just because you prefer the other version it doesn't make you better. Acting like your own personal views and preference makes you better than other people. That sounds awfully similar to something else out there. I just play games for fun. This ongoing debate of which is better DMC or DmC I hardly care about. I enjoy both. Can I not simply enjoy both without getting my sh!t jumped constantly. You are pathetic.

If I remember correctly, He stated that he doesn't like the new direction of the series and how they changed Dante's persona in DMC3 and DMC4, Not DmC and new Dante. I read that he stated that along time ago, I don't really know if it's true or not.

I think it would have been crazy and actually kind of cool if they went with the original ending for MGS 4. Snake and Octacon would have been executed for war crimes at the end. That would have been an ending that would go down in history.

If anything, the supporters of the Classic series were infinitely worse. And, to be honest, likely still are.

Devil May Cry is one of my favorite franchises as well. But there's a point and a line that can be crossed. That's when your support for something you love really turns into just the point where you just need to just grow up and get over it. I'm all for something called creative integrity and I'm not going to condemn any new directions the series takes especially when it was a series that was pushing 12 years old and quite frankly not doing anything new or interesting. How do you think comic book heroes stay so popular this day and age? You need to understand entertainment mediums WILL evolve over time and change if they ever hope to survive. DmC can use polish but it sure as hell isn't terrible at all and quite frankly it deserves to continue at least for now. I don't want to see the original series stop forever but, I'd rather see a DmC 2 as the next move than resorting back to the original so soon. If they did, then I know they are just selling out. I don't want to see another DMC 4. At least NT had creative confidence doing exactly what was told of them despite being bashed at every turn. Capcom didn't give a crap about Devil May Cry. If they did, then they wouldn't make something so weak and lackluster like DMC 4 especially after coming off something so good as 3.

well my thread just got derailed by antis just because it had something to do with sales, the same group of people on this thread feel the need to go to every thread just to be negative about this game, even to the point of claiming, "nepotism is awesome" don't even get me started on youtube
