increase of spammers

i just want to say something. if the admins decided to pick a new mod i would ask politely not to consider me.

Anyways i just want to make a note that you can ban users through the IP adress so the same member can't come back again through a different account and spam you all to hell.

Majority of spammers are fly-by-night and undeniably stupid - but whilst IP banning slows them down, if someone uses a proxy then they can carry on making accounts for as long as they like. Still, it's quicker to ban them than it is for them to re-register so eventually they do get bored...but we've had at least one banned member in the not-so-distant past use proxies to get around the system and they made about 5/6 accounts before they got bored.

Everyone is considered when a staff position is up for grabs - but with that everyone is given the opportunity to decline if they are selected.

IDK why this is even being discussed. I listed some 6 people last night on the "Porn and other Malicious Signatures" thread and they were all banned before I even woke up this morning. I feel the admins are doing a great job and that there really isn't a need for anymore mods of any kind Temp or otherwise.
