How would like vergil to look in DmC(if he's in it :D)

Why would you do that? No one ever said Nero is even remotely related to Vergil or Sparda. And having Vergil's voice INSIDE HIS HEAD kinda makes me believe, their relationship isn't based on mutual understanding OR fatherly love. It's more or less implied, that Nero got his powers after being attacked by a demon, escorting Kyrie through the woods (in the scene before he goes DT, he makes some remarks on that)

All throughout dmc 4 they say that nero has inherited the power of sparda even sanctus said so


Well, yes. But that's hardly the point now, is it? Vergil is a mentally crippled villain, no matter the justification. It's hard for me to accept this theory, because the one I have myself is pretty much engraved into my skull by now and we have no proof whatsoever to really say "Yours is right, mine is wrong" (or vice versa).

Threre's no proof to any theory on this blog and what we write comes from analyzing the plots of each game.
These are just theories that we share You dont have to accept it if you dont want to

You don't understand what it is I mean. The silhuette of the blade should be like a katana, but I don't want it to have the traditional handle, like Yamato did in DMC3. To me it made no sense that Rebellion in the original series looked like this huge demonic blade and Yamato just looked like a plain katana.
While the blade is curved and one-edged like a real katana, I want the handle to look organic like the new Rebellion and Ebony & Ivory.

well in fairness witnessing the brutal murder of your mother at the hands of hell spawn would make anyone a little loopy. i think its less he wants to hurt people and more that he just doesnt care. he sees opening the hell gates as a means to an end. the fact hes killing millions is irrelevant. which is even more ****ed up in my opinion

i linked my source a few posts back as to why i said he was vergils son, theres no way to confirm whter or not in DMC5 that would have been the case but it makes sense. dante feels guilty about what happened to vergil even at the end of DMC3 after Vergil tried to kill him many times he tried to stop him from jumping into the demon world. he robbed nero of his father (the fact he was insane is neither here not there) and giving him yamato was his way of trying to make up for it

I have never seen Vergil as some tragic hero, but more as a cold and calculative man who doesn't care about anyone else but himself and his own personal goals. He is ready to sacrifice others lives, even innocent people, just to get what he wants. He hasn't always been like that, but has become that after the death of their mother which in the end have him be egotistical and evil. And I would like that to be translated into this new Devil May Cry as well. ^^

i agree with you completely, i never see vergil as a hero or an anti hero. i see him as a tragic tale. i feel sorry for hum while be awed by his awesomeness. dante and vergil could have easily been swapped. dante could have chosen demons and vergil humanity. the scenes where it rains and vergil looks just like dante (hair down) are my favourite. id like vergil to be more subtle in the new DmC. maybe work behind the scenes and then back stab his boss to get ultimate power. but tbh as long as i feel the same connection to him (no homo) like i did in DMC3 im happy

I didn't really care as long as its a good take on the character.

If he is till be evil, show me how tho. If he is to be nero's father, show me why and when.

Vergil might have been shown to be cruel and cold but Both DMC1 and DMC 3 shows that he still has feelings for Dante as a brother so I would like to see that in DmC too.

that was by far his best attribute. he wasnt some mutache twirling villain or your normal evil brother. he genuinely cared for his brother and you could tell it was his insane addiction to power that drove him to such extremes

vergil had so much potential in story i'm but capcom left him in the plot hole that was DMC1. Also left me with a good amount of wtf considering that vergil might hve actually had relations with someone because he wanted to? nah i refuse to believe i could vergil sleeping a woman only as a back up plan in case he died to be reborn.


i know i heard this theory in a movie before but i just can't remember where..... if it wasn't a movie it might have been the D-Gray man anime with neah and allen

DmC is a reboot doesn't need to contradict any previous games. DmC explores Dante's early years that were not detailed by other games. I don't think DmC will be much different from a prequel.

nah vergils a man of class. he isnt into the whole punk revolution, hes just Vergil. as such i see him wearing attire similair to dantes but blue rather than red. he wears a normal shirt (light blue) with a black tie and a black suit vest on top.he has normal trousers and shoes. yammato should be longer than an average katana. whith engravings similar to rebellion on the handle and sheath. the sword itself should look like a normal katana but have a single pattern along its sides. i cant find a simiar image but i hope my description and your imagination can compensate
