The same colour combination as seen in DMC 3Just a second here but where did you read the manga? Scanlated or the actual book itself?
I see.
Would you prefer his coat to be black or blue?

Okay, so one guy feeling weak justifies him killing and enslaving thousands and millions of innocent people? Temen Ni-Gru's eruption alone devastated Dante's home city, not to mention all the escaped demons. And what would he have done with all that power that Sparda had?
Sir u have my total respectno it doesnt and thats pretty much the point. its heavily implied that Vergil and Dante saw there mother get attacked and ran (hey they were like 8 and she did scream RUN). Vergil never forgave himself for this. he hates himself for being weak which leads to his obsession for power. in his mind power = happiness (for him). so he keeps aiming for more and more power. leading him to his father (sparda) who was the most powerful demon that lived. leading to more issues. he wants his fathers power it drives him. its even worse as he probably looked up to his father (like all kids do when theyre 5).
now to better explain his obsession im gonna interpet stuff from DMC4. now capcom did say nero is the son of vergil. which is why dante let his keep yamato as its his by inheritance and why nero has spardas blood and could repare yamato in the first place. now im asuming vergil had a relationship with neros mother. so i think this is what happened:
vergil and woman (im calling her Seras) get together and she gives birth to nero. while vergil is away, demons attack her and nero (who is a baby). the order comes in and takes nero seeing his demon abilities (arm) for further research etc. Vergil arrives on the scene wife dead, son gone and everything ruined. brings him back to his childhood when he lost his mother. he felt powerless then, he was powerless to save them now and its all his fault. sparda had power thats why he could love so what he needs is power. he becomes driven to become like his father in every way.hence why he chose to abandon his humanity and go to the demon realm above earth as it was spardas home.
i know its a stretch but its what i got from the way vergil spoke "without power you can protect nothing" etc not saying its justified but you can see the mental transition that would lead to it
now capcom did say nero is the son of vergil
Super dislikeSo if Dante is punk, maybe Vergil should be Funk
But seriously...Vergil should NOT wear a tuxedo or anything like that, we don't need no Lee Chaolan copy in DmCsee? xD
Super dislike
Katanas generally look the same except the length and how the blade is forged. In his hand he should hold Yamato, but instead of looking like a traditional katana it should have some demonic influence on its design, like Rebellion has.

Source or didn't happen.
I find nero being vergil's son is somewhat unlikely.
Maybe being a descendant of sparda or reincarnation. But whatever.
It was going to be implemented that nero was going to be vergil's son but they did scrap it.
Says from the source.

Maybe something like this?
No, I don't want it to look like a katana in design.
lol What? A sword with a japanese name(Yamato)are generally to be a katana.
Having a long sword or a rapier having a japanese name is quite retarded, for me at least.
You don't understand what it is I mean. The silhuette of the blade should be like a katana, but I don't want it to have the traditional handle, like Yamato did in DMC3. To me it made no sense that Rebellion in the original series looked like this huge demonic blade and Yamato just looked like a plain katana.
While the blade is curved and one-edged like a real katana, I want the handle to look organic like the new Rebellion and Ebony & Ivory.
I'll just take it as non-direct answer to me stating that Vergil was sociopathical mass murderer with mommy-issues.no it doesnt and thats pretty much the point.
That never happened.now capcom did say nero is the son of vergil.
Why would you do that? No one ever said Nero is even remotely related to Vergil or Sparda. And having Vergil's voice INSIDE HIS HEAD kinda makes me believe, their relationship isn't based on mutual understanding OR fatherly love. It's more or less implied, that Nero got his powers after being attacked by a demon, escorting Kyrie through the woods (in the scene before he goes DT, he makes some remarks on that).which is why dante let his keep yamato as its his by inheritance and why nero has spardas blood and could repare yamato in the first place. now im asuming vergil had a relationship with neros mother.
Well, yes. But that's hardly the point now, is it? Vergil is a mentally crippled villain, no matter the justification. It's hard for me to accept this theory, because the one I have myself is pretty much engraved into my skull by now and we have no proof whatsoever to really say "Yours is right, mine is wrong" (or vice versa).i know its a stretch but its what i got from the way vergil spoke "without power you can protect nothing" etc not saying its justified but you can see the mental transition that would lead to it

All throughout dmc 4 they say that nero has inherited the power of sparda even sanctus said so
