General DMC 5 Discussion

When it truly counts Dante always wins

Vergil has too much bad in his heart and always has selfish goals

That's why Dante comes out on top

It's like Goku and vegeta in DBZ
Well if you played dmc 5 you now know that vergil wasn t bad at all, his fate was different than dante because he think he was left alone by his mother that night mundus send his army and while dante WAs protected by his mother, vergil had to fight mundus minion alone... Actually vergil was a more sentimental and emotional person than dante, in fact v say that he only wanted to be loved and protected that's why he want power and want to rid of his human nature because he dosent want to feel emotion anymore, in fact in dmc 3 every time arkham or. Other talk about sparda or Eva, vergil always seems to repress his emotion because like v sayd his past is a place of pain... Only in dmc 5 he realize how important his emotion were

So the whole "Vergil wanted power to make up for the fact that he couldn't protect his mother " head-canon can be thrown out?

Vergil may have had good intentions, but his arrogance and lust for power clouded his morals , he was willing to kill anyone who got in his way including humans at times as gilver etc

And his need for power was down to his vanity and ego

Dante is purer of heart , and when they fight for the sake of it then they stalemate, but when something big is at stake and on the line

Dante will ways win

Dante say that vergil think that his mother abandoned him that night to save herself and dante, but in reality his mother put dante in safe place but instead of staying whit dante he went to search for vergil and died to try and find him...

That only changes his perceived events , it doesn't make up for his wrongdoings

He just never seems to learn from his mistakes

Wish he would join Dante and learn what it is to be human again , imagine them devil hunting together and keeping score for fun like brothers should

Gilver is non canon, many part of the novel were made Canon in dmc 5 but not the Gilver one...

That's what happened in dmc 5, vergil as v and urizen understand the importance of beeing a human and a demon, in fact by the end of dmc 5 vergil embraced his human part... V himself say That he his ashamed of what vergil did in fact he tried to save more people as he could in dmc 5

That is slightly wrong, there whole life it was vergil stronger than dante up until he stabbed him with rebellion, then Dante was stronger. Now that happened again Vergil got stronger ( as urizen), dante then got stronger activating sin devil trigger with devil sword dante, then vergil ate the fruit s urizen got stronger, wasn't enough to beat new dante then vergils human side rejoined his more powerful than before demon side which prob allowed him to access his sin dt he embraced his humanity like dante did then becane even more powerfull then they are equal again , in the future one will pull ahead again get stronger then he other brother will catch up, it is literally like goku and vegata lol.

Even taking gilver out of the equation, and Vergils human part saying he was sorry

Doesn't make up for Vergils wrongdoings , and v isn't the one in control when Vergil wants power

He has always had a single minded purpose , and anyone who got in the way of that went down regardless

I mean look at the tower in DMC 3 , people died over that

People died to feed the tree in DMC 5 and who knows what else Vergil did that hasn't been disclosed

Also methix that was more of a thing in DMC 3 and 1 , but after 1 Vergil was left crippled and Dante left him in the dust

In fact he needed urizen the tree and a power boost from reuniting with v to match Dante after 5

If the Vergil who took the devil bringer from Nero , or nelo Angelo fought Dante from DMC 5 before he awakened his new power , he would still have gotten whooped

to be fair, Urizen wiped floor with dante even without fruit. Also Vergil was wondering in the end, wether if circumstances were differnt, they would have switched sides with Dante.

Both v and urizen want power in fact v always want to became stronger to stay alive and not day in fact he say this to urizen when the meat, he sayd that they want the same thing.. Vergil is both v and urizen, when he activate the tower in dmc 3 he his ashamed by that event but the urizen side of him wanted to continue search of force edge...

Yo, summoning Nightmare in certain places can open up secret paths and areas as he smashes through walls and stuff. That's a neat touch, still discovering new things, this game is too good to be true.
Only in 3 or 4 area this happen

Ya you can unlock areas in mission 2 and 9 and others

Also innsmouth I meant he needed the full might of urizen, the fruit from the tree, the blood of humans to grow said power and then the embracing his humanity to match Dante after he forged his new sword and unlocked sin trigger

Vergil95 I get that he feels bad , but that doesn't wash away his sins

He needs to come back from the dark side and embrace a different path

Dante has proved to him time and time again that it's his humanity that will grant him true power , but he disregarded it all along up to now

Standing and watching v or Nero with the cameo system is cool too

But fighting as the trio in mission 13 is simply amazing

Wish there were more missions like that

Also DMC1 had over 20 missions

Been nice if 5 did too
Yes vergil had to atone for his sins, I hope he will, maybe like vegeta did in dB... Dmc 1 had 23 mission yeah but the whole game is 3 hour long so it's better having 20 mission but 12 hours of gameplay... Someone find file in the pc versione of the game about a bloody palace Co op mode and playble vergil, so probably the cameo system will be implemented in bloody palace

Well 24 missions could have been cool

8 missions each for the trio
I would have liked to have a mission with v after he became vergil, a mission in witch he must went to the top of the tree and meanwhile he remembered something about the past even a flashback of the night Eva died like dante had, ore when he sit to wait dante it would have been cool to have a mission with him remembering... In fact all the character acquire new power, dante got sin devil trigger, nero got his devil trigger and v became vergil but he is the only one non playable after the power up and it would have been cool to see him after he became vergil and see what he is thinking now

Ya that could be cool , 8 for Nero and Dante , 6 for v and 2 for Vergil then

Also Dante has a skill called irregular full custom, it unlocks 3 extra melee slots and two gun slots

I am praying this means upcoming weapons dlc , maybe older games weapons coming back for him
