u sure are. i just wanted to hear what u thought about him. I like the new Vergil. The relationship between dante and vergil before reminded me too much of Inuyasha. But i think Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had a better relationship. Not in terms of brotherly love, but the resentment for eachother. The new Vergil seems very cunning, i mean he is the leader of the order so he does have some persuasive powers. But i hope Dante has grown some thick skin from all of the crap he's been through, so if Vergil does turn, which will be no surprise, it also will be no surprise to Dante

Or then Dante gets swept into the lull, thinking there is finally someone to really care about him, a family member for him, and is totally shocked that the moment he shows trust towards someone, that said someone turns against him.

I'm not familiar with Inuyasha so I can't relate to the statement.

This version of Vergil threw me a loop because I was caught off guard by his... "eagerness".

maybe, i just wouldn't want that. heheh

the moment vergil says kats just a girl and shouldnt matter in the end, i could tell Dante was losing trust. I mean its not like they are going to do ultimate cool double attacks anymore, at least i hope not, because they barely just met eachother. Just because they are brothers and they look alike doesn't mean you should trust that person. Dante's been duped his whole like, and i bet to him this is just as fishy

meh, Inuyasha was a cool anime but after i watched it, there was only a couple things that really stand out. other than that. Pass.

Yeah, Dante's face said pretty clearly that he was upset by Vergil's "the girl's not that important" statement. And it's true Dante seemed to be a tad suspicious about Vergil and the Order in the beginning, but they actually did fight together at that one scene, having their backs pressed together. I guess they will have both good and bad moments, and probably Dante will stay on his toes all the time, not wanting to be tricked in any way.
 
so when is the new stuff coming along.....i'm drowning in this awesome/perspiration causing/breath halting/jizz inducing information.....but seriously when is the new stuff?

Since the official Japanese subtitles in the trailer were a little bit differently nuanced, I translated them and thought I could share them, even if it’s not that important in the end. Here:

Kat: Devils have slipped among humans… and they’re turning people into their slaves. No one is aware of that fact. That’s why we are fighting back. I’m a member from The Order. Have you heard about it?
Dante: That “crazy mask” chattering in the internet?
Kat: He’s the boss.
Dante: Ehh… wonderful…
Vergil: It really is you, Dante?! I am Vergil. You don’t remember me…?
Dante: Are you my brother?
Vergil: A twin brother. I’ve been looking for you the whole time. If I and you were to form an alliance… scary things wouldn’t exist to us anymore.
Dante: Ah… your intention… is that I, too, would fight alongside with you?
Vergil: It’s better than fighting alone.
Kat: You accompany us to the very end, right?
Dante: Leave it to me.
Kat: Do your best. Don’t shoot!
Dante: Stop it!
Vergil: Calm down, Dante! Are you going to risk a peril because of her?
Dante: Didn’t Kat get captured because she protected us? I don’t want to abandon her.
Vergil: Fine, got it. Let’s do as you like. This is a do-or-die situation. We’re entrusting our lives in each other’s hands... mutual trust is a must.
Dante: Didn’t expect you to say that, big brother. (this was actually tricky; Dante says a phrase that’s usually said when someone close to you does something you wouldn’t expect, or then for example, if someone close to you doesn’t tell you/tells very lately good news etc. Like, treating someone who is close as a stranger. In here, Dante actually implies it that he is maybe even a tad offended that Vergil didn’t take it for granted that Dante would give his complete trust and support to a family member).

So yep. The Jap text dropped out something (which is kind of a norm with subs) and changed something. The Japanese version sounded to have more endearment in it compared to the English one, in a way.

If you must know, Capcom Unity is doing a DmC new demo live stream at 10 am over in Germany. So search to see which hour it would be according to you. It's 4 am on my side since I am Eastern time.

Either way, it is probably gonna be up on Youtube later tomorrow.

Some of those lines sound better in Japanese then in English.:D Like this one.

Vergil: It’s better than fighting alone.

I wish that's what he said instead.
 
Just finished watching the livestream demo which revealed the gauntlets in further depth, and a nice feature I wasn't expecting- you can chain combos. Unlike DMC 4 where you can switch between all the weapons and start a new combo, you can mix the steps- so use rebellion for the first two hits, then the gauntlets' final two hits to finish. Quite an awesome feature that I've been eager to see, since it should improve the variety of the gameplay (and style).

I'll be around for a few minutes if anyone has questions about what else they revealed- they didn't really answer any questions like whether or not Vergil is playable, mostly just a run through the stage before Barbas and the gauntlets (I believe they're called Eryks).

The chain combo feature was there all along. I knew about it since E3. He just sort of mentioned it now.

But yes, I believe the gauntlets are called Eryx, not Eryks... I think Greg spelled it out like that.

And yeah, we all basically saw it, and are talking about it on the demo thread.
