I really want to get my hands on a demo so I can finally say whether I want this game or not. I don't want to be spoiled too much either, though and the internet always spoils.

Can't wait to play the demo and explore the combat options. I hope the Metal Gear Rising public demo won't take too long as well. I plan on getting ZoE HD, but by the time I actually buy it the public demo will probably be already out.

Oh the the shard abomination can explode in your face, though it only takes about 10 percent of your life bar. Also, this guy didn't really experiment much with the weapons. Abusing the crap out of the guns can only take you so far.

I find it really disappointing that the world doesn't exactly kill you if you aren't quick enough. I hope that maybe that's something that's gives you a bigger penalty in harder difficulties? IDK.

It's a little bit funny, how I hear many people saying "this looks too easy", "enemies should do more damage", "the world should insta-kill you if you make even one mistake" etc. because to me this constantly rising difficulty level is a scary thing. It seems that the more NT polishes the game, the harder it becomes and a poor soul like me will be pulling his hair out when playing it. God knows there are lots and lots games I never finished because my skills didn't match the required level. It tells pretty much of my level with action games like these when I state that it took me a year to beat DMC3 on easy mode and I've only beaten Bayonetta to the end with very easy mode. Wargh, I hope they do know there are also us crappy gamers in existence.

But that said, it's good to have a neat package full of action that can be enjoyed by the hard-core DMC-players. I just wish I was on of them talented wonder buddies. Sigh...

Isn't that a little high expectations considering this game is presumably going against GTA:V and the competition looks pretty damn fearce.
Well there can exist many GOTY games and editions at the same time basically it's just a cooler name for special edition. Like Arkham Asylum GOTY and Uncharted 2 GOTY or ...
U know GOTY by IGN or GOTY by Gamespot or... GOTY by Pelaaja-lehti, Eurogamer and hundreds of others.

Hope you get that Mr. Half-Troll! ^_^
I hope is better on PS3... But i hope much more than the frame rate is 30 fps constant... Devil May Cry 4 in some situation on PS3 down drops drastically...

Keep in mind that the game came around 2008 and Cell-prosessor wasn't the easiest for the coders to work with nowadays they have better tools to work with PS3 ...

I'm still disappointed by some gameplay footage. I'm not saying it looks bad (in fact, the gameplay looks freaking awesome). It's just that with the exception of Greg, and player from the TGS livestream, there still hasn't been any very good gameplay videos that doesn't show players going to the wrong direction, doing the same moves over and over again, falling from ledges and easily dodge enemy attacks. It's getting really boring.

Can you blame them ? Not everyone is an expert in hack n slash and they are playing it for the first time
Also
- not all moves, upgrades and weapons are unlocked yet, so your dissapointment is understandable but invalid at the same time...

Not expert in hack'n'slash is the right term. Anyone who has ever played a Devil May Cry game (hell, even others hack'n'slashes) would play this game for the very first time and understand basic things like a pause combo... and the basic idea behind a launcher, etc... these people just button mash and expect the game to play by itself.

I do wonder if these people have ever played a hack'n'slash at all in their life.

Same with me. I hate watching gameplay of people who aren't very good at it then put it on youtube as if they're masters at it. I wish we could get some good player playing it, like this

I will never understand why people complain that the gameplay is too slow...it looks pretty fast...

Dude...why? You need a personal Devil May Cry trainer. Or maybe just lock yourself up in a room for hours. Are you one of those gamers who have to look down at the controller before they press a button?
