I never base my shopping on how the creators of the product is like. Of course, some things are unacceptable, like animal testing and such, so of course I attempt to avoid buying the products of those who do something like that... But I don't really care about Capcom as a company. They make games for entertainment, and if I like the game, I buy it.

Like wallenb says, it doesn't matter how the band is like, but how their music is like. If I like the music, I download it illegally-... I mean, buy their album, of course... Hehe... *nervous smile and twitching*
 
i know im gonna buy DmC because to me it looks like it would be a fun game, however i really do hate the way tameem acts towards the fans, he is a douche, but just because tameem doesn't know how to present himself in a professional way it couldn't stop me from buying the game. i just think of it like this: "im buying DmC because it is a creation of capcom, and i love devil may cry, don't love tameem and its not his creation."

Just ignore Tameem and play the damn game.
Yeah, i know we're supporting him when buying the game and yeah he was kinda ass at some point but who cares if the game turns out good.

On topic:
I will buy this game whatever the price is or maybe torrent download it if we all agree to boycott (which is silly idea again at least for me).
But I won't buy Tameem for sure ;).

I'll be perfectly honest, I tend to say one thing and do the other. If I see this game for 60 bucks I still probably wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
 
Well, i got a different opinion on his DmC-skeptic-secretly-want-to-like-it kind of line. I think, it rather came from his frustated, confused and out of the world mind than because of his arrogance. I heard that he wasn't working on Enslaved 2 (or some other game, i dont remember) because he was totally occupied with the work of DmC, and you know, if you work your ass off, listen to the fans (he did change Dante's look, i think, although a little) but still are met with a huge backlash, you might end up in saying what he said. Having never faced such a situation, his not so mature mind succumbed to the swingeing pressure put on him by the angry fans, he ended up making that disgraceful statement, which i think, should be forgiven or ignored.

Sorry for the off-topic blabber. Now coming on topic, I'd say not more than 40 'smackers'.

well whatever u say but he has made a bad reputation among dmc fans hell he didnt even have a good rep to begin with

Well, in defense of T.A., DMC fans are rather judgemental. Especially the hardcore ones. When I started on this forum with my cheery personality and my support for the new DmC, I was raked down with stakes and arrows from the hardcore peeps.

if there is any mention about your approval of DmC, you will be cut down by everyone and they will consider you a "dmc hater" which contradicts itself because I AM a dmc fan from the beginning

Umm, I've been checking out this forum from time to time, and finally decided to create an account. So, if this has been asked before, I'm sorry, but in what way has Tameem Antoniades been so rude to people that he should receive all the hate...? I've watched some interviews, and all I've seen so far is a guy enthusiastic about his work.

And on topic, I would buy the game with 60 "smackers". Brand-new games tend to cost a lot, anyway.
 
The gaming industry is slowing turning into a carbon copy. Just like mainstream music. Its all just smiley glad hands and other ass kissers who only try to appeal to the masses and forget what got them their in the first place.

Ahh, so that's it... English isn't my first language, so maybe I take the message a bit differently, but that line sounds something like "It's okay, we'll stay on this track, and let's see how good it can be in the end" to me.

Edit: Though, never heard Tameem saying that line with my own ears.

As a fan, i dont complain about something new. I complain when the same games come out every year, and then theres still room at the end of a game to hint at a sequel. NT may not have the best track record in games but each game individually has its own unique feel to them. Which is why Capcom usa possibly chose them to create this new image of dmc. Whether good or bad (good to me) this game isnt a sequel, it is a stand alone project. Spiderman has been created by tons of different Devs. and they all have a unique feel to them, whether good or bad. It was never about the fans when they started making games, it was about money. The better the game, the more money you get. And now its all about the fans? Fans who will rip it off the internet to get it, wait until it drops in price, wont even play a game to judge it(i wont play any more marvel movie games tho), threaten to kill the lead game dev. and pray everyone else loses their jobs? i hope NT does what they want because it was capcom who approached them, and NT has never made me regret playing any of their games.
