Without the fans those companies would be NOTHING.
They wouldn't have any money and they definitely would not be so popular.
I've worked customer service before in the past and even though some of my customers where rude I still acted mature and tried to be courteous.
And you know why?
Because without them I would not even have a job nor would I be making any money if they did not come and buy from the store.

I respect the views you have for DmC, but don't you think you deserve a little better treatment from the people behind it? As a game, sure, DmC could rock, but games are only successful through sales and what not, etc. Do you honestly think Taneem is going to be very successful in the gaming industry if he treats his fans like garbage tossed on the street? Yes, I suppose you're right, Tameem is an ass. I suppose I'll change my approximation from 60 to 40 bucks, probably less. Though I still think it looks like a good game.

It's probably worth a rent, but until I get an apology, I'll stick to my opinion, y'know? I agree. Orrr, we could all rip the game for free, and he gets no money at all! Well I wouldn't pay anything for it - not out of any misguided sense of loyalty to the franchise as it used to be but because I seriously don't like or play devilmaycry games. They hold my interest for all of thirty seconds before I just want to go and do anything else.
Having said that, if Steve wanted it then I'd be willing to pay about £10 or maybe £15 tops a few months after release as we never pay full price for games in our house. If we did, we'd be bankrupt by now.

This board has 2 admins who don't play DMC, although I don't know whether Dark Drakan has any feelings otherwise about the game 
I'm here because I'm married to the boss - it's the same with our Resident Evil site. I don't like those games either, although I have played RE5 and thought it was ok; the ability to be admin has nowt to do with an affection or otherwise with the game itself.

Even though I'd already buy it, giving it extras or exclusives would definitely get me to pay a bit more. How awesome would it be for them to include the OST with the game like Silent Hill 3 did, or give out replica swords/guns?
...At the moment, I don't think anything is whispering in my ear to buy it. Not even my abject love for the DMC series and Dante himself.
This game doesn't feel or look or seem like it at all to me. I am not seeing anything that is giving me that vibe. I thought for a moment that I was 'out of love' with the series (gasp!) but I just checked with myself and confirmed that's not the case. I still adore all the other games. This one is just not pushing any of my buttons for some reason.

I think it was alot easier to make a game 12 years ago since there wasn't as much internet going around and people werent able to see the game until it was released. I mean capcom MADE dmc, not us, they gave us the oppertunity to play something that was fun/fast/cool/and fresh all without help from the fans. And now they should just stop and listen to the fans because we're not happy with THEIR product. Capcom can do whatever they want with dmc, they have for the past 10 years so why start now. I was kinda sad when i saw the new Dante, and thought "i cant believe they gave in" Its not like this game is going to save lives or end world hunger, its just to entertain you while your real life is on hold for a couple of hours after work or what not. (Unless you get paid to review them)Customer service has rules to follow which is, make sure the customer is happy. But i know if a customer that comes into my store and just has a bad day and needs to be a dick to me or any of the employees that work there, I would be more than willing to send him on his way.
Tool(band) is my favorite band, their lead singer is an asshole, but their music is so good that i could care less about who the guy is, as long as he keeps making great albums, i'm gonna keep buying them. And people like R-kelly and Chris brown, people dont care about their lives, they just want them to keep pumping out content.
