DmC - What We know so far

Is there a turbo mode available on past DMC games?
I do recall them bringing up turbo mode in an interview for this game.

There was only Turbo in DMC3 and DMC4. 1 and 2 didn't have one. There was no talk of a turbo in DmC or at least I haven't heard, but they did say when you get to SSS rank then his speed becomes 10% faster.

So how does one switch to turbo mode?

For DMC3 you go to options and go to something within options. Once you find where it says turbo, you select "yes." You'll notice the difference in gameplay. I don't know about DMC4 since I don't have a PS3 or Xbox.

Okay thanks for that. I might wanna try that out with my DMC3 & DMC4 when I get the chance. I've always wondered why(even for a skilled rookie as myself) my gameplay experience hasn't been as fast as most players I've seen via Youtube.

Well unless they have changed it, the gameplay is running on 30 FPS on Unreal Engine 3. All DMC games before DmC have been run on 60 FPS. From what I seen on the game play video it does not look too bad but it still looks a bit slow and sluggish.

I just hope there's no QTE's it should never EVER belong in a DMC game never !!

The cinematic cut-scenes looks nicely detailed but i want the gameplay to be as good as it looks i want a thoroughly long campaign with little or no backtracking mission and stuffed with content

Oh yeah another thing; some You tubers speed up the gameplay on their recording to make it look like their playing really fast.

Which is what worries me about NT. Yes they make beautiful games and great stories (Enslaved is a good example) but one thing they fail on a lot more is game play. I played Enslaved and in the first bit of the game Monkey went into Default mode which is standing Straight up with his arms out like the letter T. The only way to fix it was to reset the game. Also I found the combat slow, sluggish and found that when I input commands to attack there was a slight delay in response. Only by about 1 second but it made the difference between winning and being killed.

And I agree. QTE's should never be in a Devil May Cry game of any type.

It's been confirmed of no QTE's a long time ago, so no need to worry.^_^ Tameen even said no to QTE's with "Because that's not Devil May Cry."

Also, I saw gameplay for Enslaved, and that never happened there. I do hope they have the acrobatic freedom that was used in Enslaved like jumping from area to area and being able to literally go around the enviornment, but I don't see that being possible because NT wants to make this game "Feel like a Devil May Cry game" which means "No Enslaved enviorment wandering."

It's that reason, that I want this gme to not be exactly like DMC because fans want it that way. Change it up a bit more, NT.

Well that is a good thing about QTE's not being in the game.

As I said it happened to me but I found the game slow to respond to my inputs which is one of the reasons I am worried about it being 30 FPS instead of 60 FPS. And I would not like it to be like Enslaved in jumping. Jumping from platform to platform was stupid as it actually prevented you from falling off and dying. Not matter what you always made the jump which I found made the game a lot more easier.

Though I would not mind it if it was a little more free roaming in the game. One of the ideas I had for a sequal to DMC2 was when DMC4 come out and that was you got to pick different missions (Including side missions) and complete them but you could leave the DMC office and go into the surrounding world at your leisure to collect upgrades and battle demons who attack the world randomly as well as some enemies who are leaders that make the other demons stronger, faster, smarter and dodge your attacks more (Like they where in DT but not actually in DT) meaning you have to kill the leader to weaken the others and make them more scared of you to the point that they will attack you in a panic causing you to take them all out with ease.

Well I don't mean like that, but more so a freedom to jump from place to place. Infact, more like Infamous where you could juump from building to building and run around the areas or having to do parkor to get to your next destination.

That kind of sounds like Kingdom Hearts. (A game I luv like a GF!:D or even...obsessed with. *Insert obsessed girl picture here*)

It would be cool for that, but that would require a whole new Engine and alot of Frames. Maybe something like the Batman Arakam games.

Its already been said that fps doesn't have an effect on the speed of the game just the smoothness of the character animations.

To be honest I just thought of that off the top of my head but now that you mention it it does sound a bit like Kingdom Hearts (Which is a game I love also lol)

And if it was jumping like inFAMOUS I would like that in the game to be honest.

Then it is strange how Enslaved lagged with the input from button to attack by one second.

Enslaved was different though. NT wasn't good with gameplay alone, but now Capcom is with them and it's shown compared to how they were doing without them.

That was because of mistakes NT made not because of the framerate. If 30 fps cause bad input time it wouldn't be used in gaming.

yep they've said many many many times that they want the game to be just as responsive as previous dmcs.

No it wouldn't because Unreal Engine 3 is what Batman Arkham City uses.

Here's a list of unreal engine video games.
