DmC - What We know so far

Keep in mind that Nero has not been confirmed to be Vergil's son. The only thing you've got to 'prove' that is that dubious article about a guy who asked a question to one of Capcom's employees. To this day, we still don't know if this information is valid. Besides, their ages just wouldn't work. Nero is seventeen and Vergil would be thirty like Dante, meaning he fathered Nero when he was thirteen.

But back on topic, guys?

Guys guys, dont worry about DmC ive got a plan

From what we've seen so far and in the "Face your Demons" trailer, it's highly likely that the masked man is Virgil. But here is one of my concerns. What if Virgil and Dante aren't twins. What if they're just brother's separated at birth. I hope they are still twins and the reason he hides his face is so the demons don't know he's related to Dante sine they would look alike. But then again It's a reboot so anything is possible.

Simple we can find out if Dante came back from Hell after DMC 2 and if not maybe it could start with him in Hell fighting his way out and at the same time releasing a demon by accident as he escaped causing him to have to seal the demon back up again maybe Lucifer could be the demon released.

They can easily come up with ideas just ether takes time or someone like me with an insane mind where most ideas are crazy but would work.
but he has lucifer already

I think its called Force-edge

But Sparda used it when it was Sparda not Force Edge. To be Force Edge it had to be sealed. I doubt Sparda would have had his sword sealed when he fought Mundus. After he won yes but before in his constant demon form no. So he would have used it when it had the same name as him.

But Sparda IS Sparda. The Sword and the demon became one after the sealing, he just existed as a human afterwards.

The only way Lucifer can exist and still have a Devil Arm named after him is if he did the same thing, but that can't be proven.

Not at all. Sparda was known to have used both Yamato and Sparda before he sealed it and turned it into Force Edge.

The Sword of Sparda was originally wielded by Sparda himself both during his time in service to Mundus and during his rebellion, but when he closed the gate between the Human and Demon Worlds, he also sealed his demonic power within the blade in order to ensure the strength of the seal. Sparda also created the Perfect Amulet from it, causing the sword's own natural powers to fall asleep and become the less-powerful Force Edge. (Taken from the DMC Wiki)

Meaning Lucifer (demon) can exist even when a weapon is called Lucifer. Another one is Nightmare and the Gun Nightmare-B. May have a slightly different name (the added -B) but it is the same as Sparda.

I see what you mean but he would have still been a Demon but just used a Human Disguise. Most of his power was keeping the seal in tact.

Less powerful ?? Its more like completely useless whenever dante gets his Devil arm he seem to manifest the Demon's soul into a weapon means he traps their power in a form of weapon as they cannot be killed they can only be sealed or sent back to hell

If the masked man is Vergil then im not sure that they are still brothers since in the trailer is seems they are relying on Dante to kill the demons since he refers to Dante as a "new weapon". If they were still brothers that would me they would almost equal in terms of power so he wouldn't have to rely on Dante to take out the demons. So if the masked man is Vergil i hope he's just hiding his power because even if it is a reboot a Vergil that doesnt fight just isn't Vergil IMO.

I'm hoping that's the case too; if the masked man is Virgil that is. If the masked man is the V-man, Its possible that he's keeping his identity a secret from both Dante and Mundus or it could be that Dante knows his secret but decides to be the face of the group () to draw out mundus while V-man and the others attack from behind. If 'masky' is Virgil I think a betrayal is in the works, and if not in this game in the sequel maybe with a story detailing his change of heart..

*Please not all of this is my opinion on the what if 'masky' is Virgil.

I like the idea of a game showing why Vergil became cold and obsessed with power like in DMC but with some NT flair.

I just looked at all the words for the style combos, really where the heck is SSStylish!

And why are all but SSS based on Brutality
Ninja Theory, I will say this again

I've been a Virgil fanboy since DMC3 (like most people I guess) and ever since preferred him over Dante. Maybe this game will even the playing ground a bit.
