DmC - What We know so far

i liked agni and rudra they were epic swords just sad when dante didn't let them talk :'(

Agreed I would have liked it if they give you tips in a boss fight if you had them with you or parts of the story.

you can change and switch weapons on the fly. using the d-pad you can change out yourr demon and angel weapons. Though the one thing i don't know is weither rebellion is inter changeable.

That is what I liked about the DMC games you could choose what weapon you wanted being your fists or a sword or even in DMC 3 a guitar which was epic and 3 way nunchuks (Spelling).

like on darkcloud there's a slingshot called steve and when you lock onto an enemy he tells you about them and talks about their strengths and weaknesses and can make you laugh

I don't see how voicing your opinion is trolling, but whatever - everything's called trolling nowadays. Sad.
I mean, how can you honestly say you like DmC's bosses? From what I've seen, it's trash. A boss called Poison that looks like a bag of pus with arms? Dante the demon hunter who looks like anyone you could encounter on the street? AND who has no real Devil Trigger?

Just by dismissing people's comments and commenting on them, you have become the trolls. Don't like it, don't react.

ok fair point. there is a point were anti trolling becomes trolling. FOR WHEN YOU STARE AT THE ABISS...THE ABISS STARES AT YOU!!!

maddness aside i personally like the new DmC. and i really like the boss poison. it is a boss i instantly took a disliking too and wanted to cut up and slash into tiny bits. and isnt that the point of bosses, in DMC many bosses have just been there. very few made me feel bothered to kill them. however not liking them is your opinion so fine by me.

as for dante, yh he looks normal. which is odd as hes less human than he was in DMC. but whatever. the point of DmC is that its Dante coming of age. no one is born awesome even Dante. this is simply him becoming the devil hunter we all know. as for the devil trigger, it not a real devil trigger as hes not becoming a devil so i agree with you. but instead its him taping into his hidden potential. which i think is far more interesting. as it would add character development to him. remember in DMC how he "unlocked" DT three times and he was like....ive just grown wings, fangs, claws, horns and now have a crazy blood lust.....meh.

Alright, I can see why you think that.

Dante isn't going to become the Dante we know from the DMC series, though. DmC is a reboot of the series, featuring a different Dante, a different setting and different characters. He's not going to get any more awesome, I'm afraid. I don't know if his DT is going to have multiple stages - I personally don't think so. What you see is what you get, and I don't find him turning into white-haired Dante that interesting, but that's just me.

well how do you know he wont become more awesome. you havent played the game. so you cant really say thatt. i dont know (or personally think) his DT will have multiple stages but i think it may advance if there is a sequel.

You're right, Dante can still change in DmC, and if there's going to be a DmC 2, he might turn out differently. But I don't think Ninja Theory can create a character that's truly awesome - at least not to me.

Only time will tell.

aaaah thats where im gonna have to flat out disagree with you. i think NT can pull it off. ensalved and heavenly sword were pretty good. so i think NT have what it takes to make DmC a true masterpiece of gaming. but time will tell.

edit: oh and as further proof that talent comes from the most unlikely sources read this:

NT normally have a good track record for great story telling and great graphics for the setting however they do normally fall down on game play issues though from the videos I have seen that may not be the case. We just will not know until the game comes out and we play it ourselves.

Also while DmC is a reboot it is not part of the DMC 1, 2, 3 and 4 universe meaning what NT make does not effect the cannon story line which means that DMC 5 can happen as well as DmC 2 (If DmC is successful)

@Lionheart and Masri, you guys are sure going at it. :D

I know I'm in the minority as one of the persons who can't wait for this game to come out. The new gameplay/boss-fight that I've seen recently really got me pumped for this game. I'm glad for the fresh take and really though, Capcom is trying to draw in new people and honestly, is that such a bad thing. I mean, they do need money to make games and the cost for that is going nowhere but up.
DMC one of my favorite franchises and though I do feel kinda sad that we may not see the original canon again, there is still a bit of hope left. In a recent E3 interview (4:05), Motohide Eshiro (section producer) alluded to the fact that they may continue making games for both this new canon and the original canon. So all hope of finding out more about Nero and his origin's is not completely lost...yet.

I would personally love a DMC5 on the Vita.

Well about Nero someone said that in one of the Novels it says that he is the Bastard Son of Vergil. I do not know if this is true or not as I have not read them myself and for the record I am using the B word in the correct context lol.

But yes one of my main concerns was that if DmC did well we would not get DMC 5 and just get DmC 2.

Edit: It blanked it out anyway............oh well.

But if we got DMC5 what would that be about, you could see that they were already running out of ideas with DMC4...

Simple we can find out if Dante came back from Hell after DMC 2 and if not maybe it could start with him in Hell fighting his way out and at the same time releasing a demon by accident as he escaped causing him to have to seal the demon back up again maybe Lucifer could be the demon released.

They can easily come up with ideas just ether takes time or someone like me with an insane mind where most ideas are crazy but would work.

Don't forget Kung Fu Chaos  NT's first game...

lol yh it looks awesome and is well acclaimed. but ive never played it therefore i didnt think itd be fair to include it in my list.

yh, capcom did "confirm" that if they did DMC5 itd be about nero being Vergils son. tho i dont think he was illegitamate. this is my reasoning. Vergil was talking about power and protecting what you love in DMC3 and how without power you cant have anything. so i was thinking maybe Vergil fell in love with a woman, they had a kid. then demons attacked while he wasnt there or something. the order picks up his son "nero" and Vergil finds he lost everything because he couldnt protect them like when he lost his mother. so he decides to gain ultimate power hence DMC3.

anyhow, im a little intrigued on how theyll treat it. after all how would you feel if you found out that the guy you met was your uncle and killed your father. and that your father was pretty much as evil as it gets. also i like how nero had almost and addiction to power when he went into DT. idve liked to see how that would pan out also. but hey fingers crossed eh :D

That's how I felt too when I was playing DMC4 so when I saw the debut trailer for the reboot I was(and still am) all for it. But after reading a lot of fan fiction and even coming up with my own, I see many directions that a post DMC4 story could take. But in all honesty though, the story wasn't the only thing that seemed maxed out, it was the formula in which they delivered the gameplay that began to really ware on people. If they (Capcom) rectify this, future incarnations of games following the original canon could be quite refreshing, familiar and enjoyable.

As I said I do not know if it is true or not as I have not read the novels myself, it was just something I read on the net a few days ago now I think.

I still loved the style and a new character was great we could follow his story which could be set after DMC 2.
