DmC Official Demo Thread

Like what?

Mostly that it's possible to two characters with full campaigns, and not a retread halfway through. Dante had to have been doing stuff before DMC4 and during Nero's time, and that would have been interesting to see, too. But narp, all we got was the retread :C

Ah see.

I finally realized what other game the demo reminded me of, Alice Madness Returns. The floating fragments of the background, the architecture, the shifting landscape and levels, the black oily substance all around, the devil trigger, and a few other common themes. It was killing me for a while.

I just thought it was an interesting factoid. DmC was the most played demo on PSN for the month of November.

Oh yeah funny I just checked this early today on the PS3 it is 5th in the demos and 360 is is 2nd best selling or such, for some reason I smiled. xD

I've been telling people that for a while now, for atleast a year, I stoped after I realized no one was paying attention

There are similarities, but it's like they're both applying the "colourful and insane" metric to different things. Alice has more inspirations from fairies and the natural world, while DmC is based more on demented architecture and artifice. I definitely see where you're coming from, though.

Really? Sorry about that, I don't remember ever talking about it with anyone else.

We're just saying there are similarities, it's not that strange. The folks at NT might be fans of McGee's, nothing wrong with it. If they're not then it's nothing wrong with it ether.

Well I think it has more refrences from the matrix though...(Well also had refrences from alice)

Just thought I'd bring a new technique to the table. I haven't seen it around and this is as good a thread as any to mention it.

You can do Dante's neutral air dodge on the ground! Just do Inverse Rainstorm, then quickly (but not immediately) tap the dodge button with a neutral control stick. Timing's pretty lenient, but it might take a few tries. It seems that Inverse Rainstorm becomes aerial very quickly, and can be dodge-cancelled even faster than jumping. Looks pretty slick to see Dante backflip in place, and it doesn't give up any positioning, somewhat like Angel Dance.

Played the demo a couple of days ago and my mind was blown!
I liked the old devil may cry's but not enough to be that bothered about this game, but after giving it a go I now cannot wait for the 2013 release!
Plus I think Dante looks way better now, i never liked the old cheesey hair cut.

Wow, on the PSN store, DmC is the "Top PS3 Demo," most downloaded demo in November. That's promising :p

It's just silly to waste the time to make an account here to tell anyone that, when they have no intentions of coming back. As of now, that's their only post, and I doubt they'd come back >.<
