DmC Official Demo Thread

Apparently "Donte" has an account on Deviantart . . .

It's funny but sad at the same time.
What is this "Donte" meme?

Just a small gameplay video that I've made. The quality is very ****ty and you can hear me button mash. Sorry if I'm not that great.
Awesome aweosome. If the enemies block, you can shoot them to stop them from blocking and carrying on your combo. Good stuff though!

Not so much of a meme, but a fad that DmC haters use to mock the game.

Though this is not an example of it, I gotta admit, sometimes they can be pretty clever and funny.
Along with Donte, 'DINO' was another one. Supposedly stood for Dante In Name Only.

Now that's just retarded.

Ranks up there with holding your breath, stomping your feet, slamming doors when your upset. The indignation is astounding.

I put up a short video for the combos. And from what I have seen so far, aside from getting used to the controller scheme, it is nice and smooth, very fluid.

Basically: Demo is epic, skeptics go out of their way to find glitches, usual hate on YT, Virility gameplay (awesome) and the Aquila is amazing!
Hope I've brought you up to speed on the news :)
Just to point out, when I went finding glitches in the DmC demo and posted there here, it wasn't to insult Ninja Theory in anyway or say that I hate the game. Even Gregaman saw 'em. Glitches are fun like: getting out of bounds. Some should be fixed like the frame rate bug. But y'know, if you like it, eff the haters.

Using glitches for a point of lazy development now is pretty BS when games like Gears allow you to kung-fu flip out the map or in Fallout where your first NPC has a spinning head. I don't find it acceptable but being biased towards a game by using glitches as a negative point but not acknowledge others game is dumb, yo.

Well said. I guess the best you can do is have a disclaimer like "just because I found these glitches doesn't mean I think the game is garbage - they're just funny." It really sorta matters how easy it is to cause the glitch, and whether it will mess up the game, because a lot of the stuff that's been found, other than whatever is happening with the framerate, aren't all that common. Hell, for the 35+ hours I've played through the demo, I've had no problems :/

I've encountered 1 bug total, and I know exactly how to repeat it. During the third fight where 2 cameras are located, some of the shops have little frilly covers above their windows, which can cause Dante to become stuck in Mid-Angel Pull if you attempt to pull yourself towards an enemy which You've just launched directly above You. Uncommon, but it's there.

One thing I don't understand is why people are steadily trying to bash a GAME!!! Yes, there are gonna be good and bad games but come on guys there is too many other things going on in the world, to be concerned about a "video game". And then people say "omg I hate capcom for doing this, I hate NT" WHO CARES!!!! They are making money and what are you doing? Sitting at home crying about a game. I'm not defending DmC or Capcom or NT, I'm just sayian :troll: but seriously haters, be quiet and people who like the game, don't waste your time arguing. This ONE game has turned alot of people "who don't even know each other" against each other. The whole world is based on mixed opinions, I just wish that people would understand that. I for one, just love to sit down in my lazy boy and pour a glass of scotch and read some poetry as I play a game. But I don't go out of my way to build a shrine for a game, or even build a pit of fire to roast a game in. The world of gaming would be a better place if we all understood, everyone can't like everything. That's what I'm gonna ask Santa for Christmas, peace between gamers :D

It's not just gaming. It's people as a whole (not everyone). If you don't like something, ignore it. I never understoof why people spend time to go to a YouTube video KNOWING they won't like it just to dislike. I HATE SFxT so I ignore and don't play it. For those like [DmC/SFxT/Insert Musician/Film/Book series etc] you clearly see something in it that other don't so enjoy it.
What a crap mentality, only problem is the Internet allows you voice it.

Not just a voice, an anonymous voice with little repercussion to ones actions :/

Weird just looked at the new vid for the new Tomb Raider and saw a comment that started like 'This is not the Lara Croft I use to know' I by habit did not want to read the rest of the comment since I am so use to something like that being posted about DmC but the last part surprised me since they said that and ended it with they like the new one...and I was like wut..how different the same start to a sentence about a game can be for another game..oh there are the 'Uncharted ripoff' comments but I was more struck by the comment I mention actually made me pause and go 'Huh.'
