DmC Mission/Bosses details*Spoilers*

Considering the fact that games such as Dragons Dogma and RE6 had disc locked content when Capcom was "listening" to the fans outcry of disgust AFTER the episode when DLC content in SFxT was on the disc (almost a full character roster), my hopes are shredded in believing that DmC won't have at least one piece of disc locked content on it.

Like I said again, Capcom and NT said this Vergil thing and Bloody Palace won't be Day 1 DLC.

Say...what were the prices of the DLC characters in SFxTK? (I didn't get the game cuz I wasn't interested)

$20 dollars for 8 characters. However it's just more absurd that the characters were just locked on the disc. As well as this, you couldn't single out a character that you want to pay for.
Instead you had to pay for the entire character bundle if you wanted just one character.

Personally, I never liked paying for extra characters. Especially when done that way.

Price for the 12 "new" characters was 1600 ms points. 20€ approximatively.
Biggest scam ever in videogames industry.

And the worst is, even if you don't buy the characters, you still see them on the character selection screen, but you can't select any of them.

So maybe it's $2.50 per character, if you do 20 divided by 8. (I suck at math lol) Well at least most of the additional stuff in DmC won't cost that much.

Oh so 12 characters? That makes me even more disgusted.
Especially since you see them on your character select screen.

Yup, 12. It's shame. And you forgot all additionnals costume, Gems, and locked colors[wich fortunately, are free]

I'm mad toward Capcom, because SFxTK is for me their best fighting game since SF 3.3, even if the game has obvious flaws, meant to be fixed in the v2013.

Because of that "dlcgate", the game is almost dying now.

And if Bloody palace turns out to be dlc, I think I'll cancel my preorder, and finally get Alan wake+dlc. And get dmc later, that money will not go into Capcom's pocket.

I really don't see what the problem with DLC anyway, some of them aren't even worth getting. I understand the character situation with STxTK and that's what makes me glad that I ignored that game, but in general, what's the deal? Even if Vergil's Downfall was a Day 1 DLC along with the Bloody Palace, I think it would be a worthy addition.

It's actually much worse than that. I bought the game along with a lot the FGC and it was something like this:

Buy the game for £40($60)/Full Price
The game has:
1) 38 characters. 17(!) of which were locked. (Bringing the roster to a grand total of 55).
To unlock the characters you HAD to pay an additional £20 to unlock the entire pack (Both Tekken and SF side)
5 of these charatcers: Cole, Turo, Kuro, Megaman and Pacman are PS3 exclusive and WILL NEVER be on the Xbox/PC.
*** Capcom a few months ago stated that even though Megaman and Pacman aren't console specific (Like Cole from InFamous and Turo/Kuro the Playstation mascots), both of those characters will NEVER publicly be released to Xbox owners. They will be forever locked on the Xbox version. Bullshi-

2)Each character comes their default costumes and 2 additional costumes. Default costumes are for everyone but the 2 alternate costumes are locked. This brings you to another £20(ish). As each character has 2, this means there is a total of 100 locked costumes.

3)The game also has somewhere around 300 single gems for you to equip. 245 single gems (attack, defense, speed, stamina etc) with 60 assist gems. However 150 of these gems are disc locked and you MUST pay to use them. Meaning you only have 150 available to you. Another £20

4) The game only gives you 4 colours(yes you read that, I am talking about colours). Everyone has one colour, an alternate and black/white. Boring I know
But the total amount of colours that are DLC is an pathetic 2600(ish). I'm off by a few but that's each character and their individual colour slots. The colour packs themselves around another £20 which means so far you've spent an additional £60 on content you already own.
But there's still more

5) They locked combos. The game allows you to to perform auto-combos. I hate them but noobs use them. Each character has around 5 so we're talking 250 locked auto-combos which I think is around £10. If think if the conversion works out right, those in America pay an additional $180 for content that was in your initial purchase for the $60. See the this also adds to the fact that SFxT was a crap game in general. I understand getting miffed about Mass Effect 3 day 1 locked content and I also don't think that's right, but(!) you still got a fantastic game out of it(the ending, I know, meh). SFxT was a terrible game though....

To be fair, they said it would have to be AFTER those games, since they were already far along in development with the planned on-disc DLC.

Does this answer you question as to why people rant about DLC?

Yeah, I really want to play Vergil's missions. *_*

The issues I have with dlc's are the ones that make you pay for that additional map to a mini game that should've been there anyway (RE6 did that). Also locked disc content, which I don't think DmC will have, they made mention of it at least.

If dlc's are released over time though, that doesn't bother me at all because that's what a dlc's should be for, material that's been finished after the game is released so you can have additional content as well. If they have it on the first day of release, it is kinda silly, but at the end of it all, if you really want them...who the hell cares? No point getting upset over something to put you off a game entirely, if you don't want it, don't buy. I got that Operational Raccoon City but I haven't gotten those bonus missions yet, because I've not been be interested yet to try them.

Bloody Palace and Vergil's Downfall and any other possible costumes though? Bring it.

I see that, but remember this is a adventure/hack n slash game, not a fighting game. I'm also sure that NT added enough combos to the weapons.

So. Much. Win!

That's the problem with bloody palace. It's a game mode since a long time in DmC serie, and they didn't even think about including it in the final game? I don't believe that. My point is, they know that's a important feature for DMC fans. And they know they'll sell more than a crappy "bone skinned pack". Who the hell care about reskin of weapons? I'm fine with that kind of dlc, but if you remove from the game, or plan to sell an essential piece from a game in dlc, that, is so wrong.

I know, they're companies, and companies need to make money. but hey, at least, respect your customers.
That's why 360 is my last console. There is so much scam on the gaming industry, I'm going on pc.

I sure hope Bloody Palace is included.
It would be a silly decision on Capcoms part... why do you think that Call Of Duty adds more and more content to their base game every year? They always add that much more so people say "hey, it's like three games in one... it can't go wrong".
Without bloody palace, that's one mode gone. Out of two modes... this makes a HUGE difference. I hope it's wrong... because such a small thing could really hurt the game.

People ranted about the Asura's Wrath DLC when it included a "True Ending". It wasn't disc locked, but it was considered a "True Ending" which means that they planned it out to begin with.

That's a beat em' up game yet Capcom has dished out DLC which is controversial to what DLC supposed to be.
And I'm not going to support Capcom when they are still practicing bad management with DLC. As well as other gaming companies that do this.

You can keep supporting them if you want, but I won't.

Yeah...DLC is supposed to be added content, not something that completes the story :/

Final Fantasy XIII-2 had some interesting DLC, like all the coliseum fights, where they were just new things to do, and you could get stuff from them. Requiem of the Goddess was a bit troublesome though, since it gave you insight on what was happening during the ending battle in the main game, but...at least it was still fun, and I got more than just that ending out of it :p

Off topic, I have XIII and for the life of me, I CANNOT finish it! It just bores me to death! But I dl'd the demo to XIII-2 and it's so much better to me. I think I just have a thing for random battles, and the monster collection.

So, what about the regular enemies? The chainsaw guy for example...Is he basically a Hell Vanguard from DMC 3?

Are there lots of regular enemies not revealed or did they reveal basically all of them?

Man... I really hope there is more abilities. I'm gonna be really disappointed if this is all the combat has to offer in fact, I won't even buy this game if this is the bottom of the barrel.
A damn shame indeed.
