Nope, just rewatched it, I'll quote it for you:

"[Some people] wondering if gamescon may reveal some new weapons that Dante can use."

*Guy speaks in Japanese*

Translator: "Yeah, we got a lot of exciting stuff planned for gamescon actually. A lot of things will be revealed, a lot of things will be addressed, a lot of your burning questions will be answered. So look forward to that."

Greg goes on to say that if you are a long standing fan of the series there will be "something" that should excite you.

So take that as you will, I guess.

i swear that they confirmed new weapons for gamescom. well nonetheless i'm still expecting new weapons whether they confirmed it or not.

Yeah, I actually had to rewatch the thing like five times to see what they exactly said, because at first it appeared to me as if they had actually confirmed new weapons, and that's pretty good news.

And same here, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I will be happy if they show at least one demon and one angel... hell, I will be happy if they just show another gun.

the main reason i want to see a new weapon is so we can get new gameplay. yes they could show us a new area, but if it's with the same weapons you get no new gameplay elements, so i'm hoping for a new weapon of some kind!

going back and watching the stream i heard gregaman say something that i forgot all about.
he said there are enemies that can throw grenades at you, and you can wack them back at the enemies! idk about you guys but that sounds cool as hell! and i wonder what the enemies that throw the grenades look like?
 
I think they are going to be showing Vergil... or maybe it was the "Lilith having a baby" factor... who knows.

Here I am hoping we can see Vergil's face. I want to see his new complexion in this game.

maybe they are some more of the organic looking enemies. i really hope so, because i like the look of the organic enemies.
 
i wonder about the relationship between Dante and Virgil. I mean does Dante know Virgil exists (vice versa)? And if that's not the case why isn't Virgil with Dante and being a good brother? Why is Dante left to fend for himself if his brother isn't evil in this reiteration? This is assuming that the Masked Man is Virgil, it is not fact just a little assumption. I want more deets(details) regarding this.

I think people are assuming WAAAaaayyyyyy too much about the situations and the unseen apecst of Dante's story and life. Just because we didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen, and just because we want to add certain attributes to ether classic or new doesn't mean he posseses them.

Vergil probably didn't know about Dante being his brother until fairly recently. That's probably the reason why he asked Dante to join The Order (they couldn't come up with a better name?). He probably did it out of guilt....and an invitation to 'higher status'. ("Why do you refuse to gain power?"--That's Old Vergil's idea of an invitation--that, and wrecking his office and area surrounding it with the demons and towers)

Off topic: Why do I see Dante dancing like those guys at the Roxbury after watching this?
