Does this count as hating on DmC?

Nero said F-you to the Floating White Knight Thing he was using his DB animation on.

And you're right. I never brought up the swearing, no. What I will bring up are some of the corny lines that I thought were done and over with in the DMC series in general.

"Looks like I picked a bad day for a hangover!"

"Dante, that's madness!"

"Put a spin on this!"

"There have always been demons. There have always been angels. There has always been war."

This isn't Fallout. I don't want to hear anything even remotely close to, "War never changes." To me, that's just as bad as the arrow thing.

Honestly, I love Vergil's redesign. After I saw his reveal trailer, I instantly started looking up some of his concept art and he is easily my favorite looking character in the game right now.
BTW I love this guy's hair, I don't think it looks greasy, it looks really wavy and fluffy, like a giant white cloud
As for the lack of Royalguard, that never bothered me because I always used either Trickster, Sword Master, or Doppelganger.
I only used Royalguard in DMC4, never in DMC3

That's the sun. It's burning the grease in his hair into a crispy golden brown.

Nah, I got used to the hair. It's not really an issue. Never was.

I actually thought this was a pretty clever one.

You know a phrase that the repetition made me hate it?

"My name is Dante."

... like, every trailer man... every trailer.

Oh yeah. That reminds me...

"But you can call me Dante the Demon Killer (Vampire Killer reference?). Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"

Too long. And still too corny.

Yeah I thought that was extremely corny when I first heard it. lol

And on that note...

I posted the second one for the twins... :troll:

Austin had a threesome?

new Dante:" Psh! Bitch please."

Really...? I only remember hearing Nero say "sh*t" when he was punching the hell out of Sanctus.

What other instances were there?

- As Azurel stated, Nero says "F*ck you" when using Devil Buster on Alto Angelos in DT mode.
- Before the second Dante fight he says: "I think you'll blush a pretty pink when I kick your ass!" in a cutscene.
- In the fight with Sanctus, he says "I'm not interested in your bullshit" when you use a DT'd Buster attack on him.

He also Dante the middle finger when he's getting absorbed by the Savior.

Granted that these isn't "severe" swearing, but it's safe to say that this DmC pretty much tops the line in vulgar performance.

Honestly i think DmC is slower than DMC. But i only think people who do lots of cancel techniques in DMC 3 and 4 will really notice it when playing. Can you really watch a combo vid of DMC 3 or 4 then watch one of DmC and think they're on par speed wise? Brea did a vid and was cancelling too fast so a lot of moves weren't hitting because she was used to the DMC standard of attack speed. Im not saying the gameplay is slow but its not 100% up to par in all areas. Its still a DMC since it encourages combos and variety which a lot of hack and slash games dont do.

That's all? Yeah, I wouldn't think "ass" and flippin someone off are entirely vulgar. And I don't remember hearing f*ck with the Alto Angelos. Granted, I barely use Buster, let alone DT Busters. I am now intrigued and wish to play to hear it myself!

EDIT: I've been using Buster on Angelos for a bit now, and I haven't heard f*ck once :/ I've heard something that sounds like it could vaguely be interpreted as it, but he's said that elsewhere, and it just isn't actually "f*ck."

Likewise, there also isn't a "Strong Language" tag on the game's ESRB rating (just Language), which all games that use "f*ck" get. The developer also has to be extremely candid about their game's content when it's sent to the ESRB for a rating...there's hefty consequences for trying to slip stuff past the ESRB :x

My complaints are the inconstant frame rate in cutscenes, the pull glitch that I bitch about a lot, the parry system (how easy it is to exploit especially on bosses), and Dante's personality. I honestly miss the "emo heroin addict" what have you Dante of 2010. Looked like a completely fresh take on the character showing a very dark side that I haven't seen done well in a long time. Now while I don't mind it I feel that he is basically going "HEY GUYS REMEMBER YOUR OLD DANTE?! WELL I'M GOING TO ACT LIKE HIM EVEN THOUGH NT ISN'T GOOD AT WRITING NOT SERIOUS CHARACTERS! THAT COOL WITH ALL OF YOU?"

I still don't understand this "emo heroin addict" thing. How can we say he was "emo" when he only said three words - "My name is Dante," and the rest of it was taken up with him beating the sh*t out of demons? The heroin addict stuff is equally dumb because there's no evidence to support something like that, other than being a lanky guy. Is it supposed to be all those bruises? Those ones he gets from his scraps with demons?

All in all, I do miss 2010 Dante a bit, because do like that design just a little bit better.

1 that is 4 words and 2 I personally don't feel he was a emo heroin addict but I called him that because that is how everyone referred to him.
