I guess this is what you'd like to say to those reviewers;

Hey I read each review from them and let me tell you those that go as far as this:
" Color coded enemies break the flow, gameplay loses its depth after level 14, the bosses are a massive disappointment, Limbo becomes dull and predictable."

They list the mistakes or pretend they don't exist and go...
NOPE 9/10 GAME OF THE YEAR!!!

There's "just not buying a game" and then there's "making sure a game doesn't sell well," as he put it.

And I just mean no opinion is going to change what's already happened. Bein' all p!ssy about a game that released like nine months ago and literally had absolutely no intended ill-effect on the franchise is pointless :/

Oh wow, I didn't notice that. Don't know what he means by that, but it sounds...shady :P

Well, it did replace the old series. I'd call that an intended ill effect (though they didn't intend the ill, I know).
...I need sleep XD

I have to say I agree with TwoxAcross. For one thing, sales don't mean much. There's pirating, buying used games, borrowing from friends. Too many things to make sales look lower than they might actually be.

As for saying the majority of the fanbase was simply against DmC because it's a bad game. Another person could just as easily saying they were against it because it was different, or because they're getting sick of new Devil May Cry games after 4. You could put any excuse on it and be wrong or right. And the fans that are trying to keep people from buying DmC are exhibiting one of the worst traits humans have: being controlling over something they have no right to try controlling. Look at the tyrants in history. They had the same trait.

All in all it's Capcom that makes the final decision and I'm sure they're more likely to look at constructive criticism rather than people complaining because they didn't ask for what was released. You didn't exactly ask to be alive, but you still are. Why not live and stop thinking you own the franchise when you don't. And that's for all fans that think they have so much influence over the fate of DmC/DMC.

You might do well to give up on that "Platinum making DMC5" dream, champ. Capcom's head honchos don't seem too keen on letting their former employees touch their IPs. Maybe it ten years or so...
Give it ten years and they'll reboot the reboot.
Dante, son of a devil and a fairy, fighting against space aliens who want to control Earth, while also being a university student...and the big twist is that it all happened in his head, and really he is in a padded cell drawing on the wall with his own feces.:troll:

That's true, though. There are a lot of reviewers who are inconsistent as all hell. But I'm sure there's reasonable people who gave it like a 7/10 after stating so many big problems. And with that said, I need to sleep.

Did you find it more entertaining than DMC1, 3, or 4? Then by virtue of that, you aren't a core/majority of the DMC fanbase.

OH WOW! I didn't know you were the authority on what it takes to be a DMC fan. Do you have a badge - can I see it?

Honestly, I found DmC as entertaining as all four of the classic DMCs (I know - he likes DMC2 *hisssssss*). Well...maybe not DMC1, DMC1 is a slightly different beast with all of the more apparent bits of Resident Evil DNA still left in it, and the lack of all the options for truly over-the-top custom combos that you can do in the others (DmC included).

DmC does knock itself up to my favorite in the franchise, though. Darn...I guess that doesn't make me a Devil May Cry fan. Better uninstall and kill self.

These things were around just the same for the past games, especially DMC4. Didn't stop them from selling well. And finally, if a fanbase truly believes in something they'll support it. Hence the reason they are fans in the first place. So DmC not selling well is entirely because it wasn't the game the majority of us wanted. Simple as that.

And if person were to try and claim that fans got tired of DMC after 4 (which sold over 2 million units), then they'd have to explain why the HD remake managed to sell well. The majority of us fans just don't appreciate Capcom rebooting the series, and giving it to NT of all people-who don't have a record of amazing gameplay or story in their games.

So it was a truly foolish decision that's costing them, and will continue to cost them until they make it right.

Yep, because video games are serious business:troll:
I was hoping that you would "connect" the joke -- the "Face Off/Paid Off" thing and the "I don't give a ****" sentence that nic cage is lip syncing there ('cause I couldn't care less if fans thought they were being paid off).

Oh well.

Edit:

But yes, video games are indeed serious business. :troll:

Capcom has been making foolish choices long before DmC and will continue to until they finally decide to get their act together...which will not be any time soon.
I really don't think making DMC 5 will recoup what they have lost financially from other bad choices they made.

Edit: And I don't think these DCM HD sales were anything to crow about either...sadly...pretty dismal

Capcom can;t even turn it around with HD remakes.

Again you say this, and still try to claim to be a core/majority of DMC fans. I'm sorry, but you're simply not.

If you were, then the game would have sold much better, and fans would have ignored the HD remakes. Sales just don't back your opinion up as being part of the majority view.

Ho now! Nobody likes aliens in their reboots, if the outrage from Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles is any indication.

Even though the context of aliens in the movie was totally misinterpreted >.<

No, I'm telling you. Give DMC5 to Platinum games, have them also bring in people from DMC3/4.

Pretty much every core/majority fan of DMC will in unison achieve nerdgasms of epic proportions. Frankly, we'll completely forget that DmC was even a thing. Hell, we might even forgive Tameem himself for acting like a complete tool.
