Disappointing DT?

The wierd thing is that Dante's DT never was the same design. It was never inconsistent.
They never mentioned his power has grown or he trained and never had a great effect on the story.
(Except for Nero that is)
Which is damn strange for a game that has a half-human morphing into a full-demon.
In DMC3 Dante only changed into DT for about more than one-second but less than three.
In DMC4 he changed while being hit by nero like a dimming light bulb.

But I must admit DMC2's DT is the BEST.
Just look at it, Ebony and Ivory is now bloody Dual Gatling guns. And Rebelion is set on his arm like a spike. Also we know it is Dante because the demon form has white hair as well. Pity the game itself was a flop...

Yeah, The DT has been intriguing. I am gonna talk in DMC 3 and 4's terms. DT seemed as a sub-conscious response when dante was in danger or forced to the point of death or a state that will make him unconscious. Ofcourse, in gameplay terms DT is really powerful when completely upgraded(by charging it up) in DMC 3. And with distortion effect in DMC 4.

This brings me to intriguing myth of Sparda. Sparda did not put an END to the demon world. He jus found a way to seal the demon world from causing any harm to the human world. And who knows how much it took out of him to accomplish that. Yeah, he did a good job and his DT is commendable as a powerful weapon but to me, it could only be used by those that understood its purpose.(like using it as a defensive tool than an offensive weapon).

It's actually quite realistic that Sparda didn't just genocide his kind. That will be really wierd.
I too think the Sparda weapon is a sword that can be wielded by someone who takes his will. That possibly means Vergil in the original series had a reason why he needs power so much. (Who in he earth will tell his little bro about his future views? It will just be embarassing!)
But what is strange in DmC is that Sparda failed his rebellion. Just like Lucifer did in Paradise lost.
(Also his manor house is called "Paradise" anything strange?)
I sort of doubt there will be a Sparda weapon, because his portrait has him with rebellion.

I reckon the DT would be more appealing if it changed slightly whilst using Demon or Angel weapons, a bit like DMC3 when you change weapons.

Hmmmm all I wanna know is what is that demon that crushes that skyscraper in the trailer? Mundus? Or someone we haven't seen yet?

Or maybe...THAT'S DANTE'S DT IN FULL FORM!

Those were hilarious.

Ofcourse it will be wierd, cuz we would not have any DMC games to play.:P

Wat i meant was , since sparda DT was considered the most powerful DT and weapon in classic DMC games, Its purpose was to seal the demon world. Jus STOP them and not END them. DEFENDING and not offensive. And how far did sparda had to go to accomplish that? Did he fight till the last breath and found an opening where he shut the demon world( out of desperation)? I doubt we could "wipe the floor with demons" using sparda's DT.

In the new DmC dante's DT doesn't look very impressive compared to past DMC titles
Do you think he get a more improved DT later on in the game or will he just have white hair and a deeper shade of red coat?

Rats, I wish I'd save that darn picture I saw recently. I think it was an art piece ripped from the demo, it was blurry, but you could see it was of Dante's head. His hair was white, blowing upwards and looked longer, but he looked really demonic. His eyes were red like they are in Devil Trigger, but a lot wider. It the art sort of looked like the one you see on the icon when Dante Devil Triggers, but a lot more detailed rather than one color. So, it's got me thinking maybe the Devil Trigger we're seeing is a lower form of it.

Also if with the demonic eyes and the veins thick like cracks on his skin, it does looks like something from beneath the surface is trying to break its way out from his body and take form. So could it be Dante's just not fully transformed yet?

(But has anyone seen that piece of artwork I mention, can you link? >___< I really should've saved it.)

I too would like to see this please, :)

Personally I like the DT... but then again I've liked all Dante's DTs (even the DMC3 one which seemed to be the most hated one until DmC).

Personally though my favorite in the series will always be Nero's DT, but that's just me.

I had hoped to see a demon/angel/hybrid form of some kind in his DT. This minor change of colour scheme is a bit disappointing to me.

At least you give a valid reason for your disappointment. But I would expect nothing less from a Beautiful Monster...

(I know this isn't the original version of the song, just work with me here...)

I love how biased the comparison pictures are. Instead of posting his more demonic looking DT, you post one of the first images of it where it's simply white hair, red coat.

I never really liked any of those DTs except Dante's from DMC4 and Sparda trigger from DMC1
The others look like rejected pokemon models :P
