I'm asking you for what you think is immature about him by pointing out specific moments of it.
Well, that is a Japanese thing. A lot of heros in animes and (mostly) action movies go around pretending they don't give a crap and make BS excuses as to why they are doing what they're doing, but they're just too cool to care. A great example would be like the movie Versus where a dude hits achick and the protagonist says "Don't touch her" dude responds "what do you care, you a friend of her or somethin'?" and the guy says "I give a crap, I just like dudes like you" or something to that effect. So they act like they don't give a crap while going out of they're way to do the right thing.
Another example is Spike at the end of the Cowboy Bebop movie where Spike tells Vincent that he can send the world to hell for all he cares, he's just in it for revenge even thought he just spent a strenious amout of time and effort to save the same world 'he couldn't care less about.'
I just felt Dante of DMC4 was more immature than 3 or reboot Dante given that in 4 he is supposed to be the veteran but he managed to let things escalate to the way they did because he couldn't think things through or stay on task.
This was a 3 hour job that he turned into a 10 hour job because he was bored or stupid. There was no emotional manipulation or trickery of any kind that could justify it.
I dont mind him being reckless but it wasn't cute or tacky, it was just stupidity mixed in with douchebagery.
I would be more lenient towards DMC3 and DmC Dante because a big part of their characters were to be young rookies who are still trying to figure things out. DMC4 Dante doesnt have that luxury as he is supposed to be a veteran of 10 or so years.
i dont mind the cliche just thought it was used better elsewhere. Dante was just a victim to bad writing.
On topic- I do want his age to be explained in the game tho, it just doesn't need to be a big deal or a big plot point.
