Well they might can say that (which they themselves know Capcom couldn't pay off everyone for a good review) but when the public itself gets its' hands on it and people enjoy it they will feel incredibly dumb. And when that day comes I'm going to have a field day on Capcom-unity forums.

I know. If they hate the game why do they follow everything that goes on with it? And I mean EVERYTHING.
I hate Call of Duty but I'm not going to follow everything about the game just to hate on it. Hell I want the people who enjoy the Call of Duty games to have fun with them.

I'm the same way.

Its just people grew up with DMC (like me) and it holds a special place in their hearts (not like me) and i guess the decisions made really just broke their hearts.

I try my best not to get so involved in gaming, although it does take up a good portion of my life, i try to always have fun, with whatever game i get.

I guess so. Well maybe DMC5 will come out so everybody can be happy. That's what I want, I want everybody to be happy so all this drama can just end. Maybe if a DMC5 were to come out the people who don't like DmC will finally leave it alone and there wouldn't be nearly as much sh*t going on if there is a DmC sequel.

Gather vast amounts of money by canceling Mega Man (ouch...still hurts to say...T_T) and making people pay for useless and on-disc DLC, just to create the ****tiest game in one of their last beloved franchises, which they'd give to another developer to make on the cheap, and then pay off every reputable gaming journalist for a shining review of their gigantic "F-U" to the Western world.

I'd say enough was enough a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. The last straw was when people started attacking Tameem Antoniades personally, and the death threats.

Seriously, attacking a dude for doing his job because of some contrived bullshit is really over the line, and it makes me ashamed to call gaming my hobby, and to call myself a fan of DMC.

THIS. There is some troll who told me that Tameem is disrespecting the fans or anything. My response, please show me the link if he did that since all I know is that raging fanboys, like you said, are making death threats against the poor guy. SMH...

But you know, I agree all of you here. They're many haters, who claimed themselves as 'real Devil May Cry fans' want to force their disgust and rage against this game to everyone and branded it as 'truth' in their part. I'm always asking "What's so wrong about loving this game?" Hell, those jerks even claimed that MGR will beat the sh*t about DmC over and over. Even insulting them back would add fuel to the fire. Gladly I stopped doing that. Better to ignore...

All the white refusing to contribute or help these westerners make a DMC game to make sure its as ****ty as possible! I mean come on have you seen the frame rate? Only running at 30 consistently? What a masterstroke!

If a DMC5 comes out and the hating gets worse I will lose all hope in the DMC fanbase. Sooooooooooo many fans have said, "If Capcom announces DMC5 then I will leave DmC alone" so if they go back on their word I will probably just stop coming to DMC forums.

I honestly go only on this one as going anywhere else on the internet where the word Devil May Cry come up generally creates a conversation that makes me wanna blow my brains out

The only thing I've ever been shown about "insults towards the fans" was a lot of extremely contrived bullshit, mostly just taking things out of context, or a word's definition given the context, and straight up misinterpreting what is said. The most logical point to make against it is that no one from either of the two companies (NT and Capcom) would go on record to insult the consumers of a product they're trying to sell, because they would be out of a job minutes after having made a public apology. Tell me how definitively insulting fans would get past two entire companies-worth of people, and wouldn't have been picked up as a story by every gaming journalist in the world...y'know?

I'm pretty sure that they have never openly insulted anyone and it's just people trying to stir up trouble.

I'm going to take the phrase "the feel of 60 fps" that haters like to make fun of and apply it to this situation.
Capcom/Ninja Theory didn't insult anyone, it was "the feel of insulting".
Everyone felt insulted because they gave their opinions. That's about as far as Capcom or Ninja Theory have gone in the "insult" department.

Just playing devils advocate here I have read an article where Tameem apperently said I dont care what the fans think (however that was a very sketchy article that claimed tameem smoked in it which i haven't seen him do in any video). He also said games like bayonetta were stupid (paraphrasing) which dmc fans took as bayonetta is a spiritual successor to dmc, if he thinks bayonetta is stupid he thinks dmc is stupid. Those are the two big ones that got their panties in a knot if i can think of any others I can mention them.

I personally think he shouldn't have said he thinks Bayonetta is stupid I mean come on if you have a ragy fan base the last thing you should do is insult the series you are destroying in their eyes spiritual successor. That's the only time I can think of where I didn't feel insulted as much as I felt disappointed in the blatant stupidity of the statement and hope that it was just a deliberate attempt to rile up fans for publicity.

If I remember correctly Tameem never called Bayonetta stupid, he said it was "Japanesey" in which it is! It's over the top with Japanese influence. So basically he stated a fact and people got mad about that as well.
