Can Capcom still carry on the old story after this "D*C"

Dante and Vergil had a
So 8 years and Dante hardly knows his mother and brother?
And how would you know they didn´t form a brotherly bond.

Dante: "Remmeber what we used to say?"
Vergil: "Yes"
*aims at Arkham*
JACKPOT

If that´s not a bond then i don´t know what is.

They could have a tight bond when they were kids. The jackpot thing could easily be when they were 8 years old, but Devil May Cry 3 happens 10 years after and alot can happen in those 10 years. Now Vergil wants to see Dante dead. How can you say that they have a close brotherly bond when one of the brothers wants to kill the other?

NO you're missing some key story points here in the end of dmc3 at the last scene vergil says--

Get out of my way i don't want to kill you or something like that he didn't exactly wish to kill dante and he also could have just killed him when he had the chance he just doesn't like dante getting in his way of gaining power

Vergil wants Dante dead? As far as I remember, Vergil only wanted to gain power without thinking of the consequences. Those consequences included harm to humans which wasn't accepted by Dante and hence the situation put them against one another. If I'm wrong then please correct me.

that's what i am trying to say they cross path with each other so they're forced to fight i also remember some fights with my own brother now that doesn't mean i want to kill him after all they're demon children right

He doesn't directly want Dante dead, but since Dante tries to stop Vergil from what he's doing, Vergil seems to send all those demons at Dante to stop him, right?

Vergil is OBSESSED with power.

That much was made pretty obvious.

Having Dante get in the way of that would surely cause Vergil to want to take action against him. It does not mean that Vergil HATES dante or WANTS to kill him.

Just means that Vergil is willing to do anything to get the power he desires.

i think he doesn't have a brother XD

Vergil chooses power over his brother, Dante. That's proof enough for me that they don't share a close brotherly bond. I would never choose anything over my sister, because I love her and we are close. I have always defended her and supported her, no matter what she's done, but if I disagree with her on something, then we talk about it and eventually accept our differences. We don't go swordfighting in the rain and stab eachother through the chest or send demonic minions at one another, mostly because, well, neither of us have the powers to do so. XD
But also because we love and respect eachother.

Dante and Vergil do not share such a strong bond between them. You really can't convince me that they do. They might care for one another, but they prioritise other things above one another. Vergil wants more power and Dante wants to protect humankind. If they truly had a close bond, Dante would try and help Vergil get what he's looking for and Vergil would do all he can to prevent anyone else from being harmed in the process.

Vergil chooses power over his brother, Dante.

Its been implied that Vergil seeks "Power" due to the lose of his mother.

After all, he did tell Dante "without power how can you hope to protect anything?" which hints at the fact that he may feel some resentment towards himself for being powerless to stop the death of his mother.

And the whole point of my post above was to prove you wrong on the notion that Vergil "wanted to kill Dante".

I never said nor agreed that they had a "strong" brotherly bond.

But it is obvious the 2 have some form of love for eachother.

Dante did cry when he lost Vergil and Vergil did not kill Dante after their fight on top of the tower even though he could have.

HA HA HA funny quote you made there that puts dent their personality perhaps he only wanted power not to kill his brother so how is this not a bond do you even have a elder brother ever had fights with him ?? ever wondered how it would be if you're both halfdemons

Dante tried to convince Vergil to not pursue the path but vergil wanted power so he had had to stop vegil in that case

Vergil also tried to convince Dante by saying why do you refuse to gain power ? this shows both of them have a strong bond there is no need any further evidence than this

Okay, sorry about that then. ^^
I see your point that Vergil don't wish to kill Dante, I take that back. My point still stands about the two of them not sharing a close bond. They care about eachother enough for not wanting direct harm at eachother, but no way in hell are they sharing a close brotherly bond.

hell ?? i thought vergil is in nero's arm now and dmc is all about action they don't make games to show brotherly bond its not final fantasy or something like that

Then why are people saying that they do share a close bond? Because that's what you and CoolDemon have tried to convince me, or what? :S
About Vergil living in Nero's arm, where did you get that from?

okay for those who say vergil isn't evil, and didn't want dante dead should watch this:
@1:06 vergil stabs dante with yamato and basically has dante defeated. But then @ 2:00 vergil picks up rebellion and stabs dante again even though dante is helpless and unable to stop vergil at the moment. the reason vergil did this was to kill dante and get him out of the way fromhis quest for power.

Continue the old story huh? sure they can..... after they pause it for a decade because of D*C  they should be able to start developing it. With a proper writer, an upgraded MT, and if they use the same amount of cash they used on the D*C and if they actually pay attention to what fans want then they should be able to make an absolutely amazing game. Possibly one that can stand up against DMC1,3.

uhhhh no.

Vergil knows full well how much damage it would take to kill Dante.

After all, he does have powers and abilities that are basically identical.

He only went back to stab Dante with the rebellion because he wanted him to stay down thats all.
