Can Capcom still carry on the old story after this "D*C"

Just like John (who assumes Dante hasn't returned) you assume the bike you hear in at end of DMC 2 being Dante.
That's just your assumption. I need to go take a look at it and see if it's Dante or not.
And Dante in DMC 2 is pretty aged right? He looks so sad and lonely. Perhaps he went to hell to calm himself down or something?
He lost his brother which he has shown to care alot about.

EDIT:
Dante drove into further depths of demon world/hell. However, in cutscene nowhere do i see Dante have returned.
However, it's clear Dante is confident. He didn't use Devil trigger against the fire demon inside of hell.

Again no, I did not assume that the bike noise is Dante returning, I said that the bike noise suggests that it might be Dante returning. It is the exact same sound Dante's bike makes so it is supposed to make us think that it is Dante who has returned, but we don't know for sure.

well i think there are more people who can ride a bike in 'devil may cry' universe ex lady and many of dante's friends he made

and i think colddemon said it right he is pretty much aged and sad so he doesn't care getting trapped in hell and the bike rider could be anyone in the world anyone ! sorry to say but i think the directors intended to end dante's story right there

We can only speculate, because none of us knows. It's the CIIIIIIIRCLE of LAIF! Only Capcom knows, those d-bags. I don't think we'll ever know who that was in the end of Devil May Cry 2.

A novel or animated series could answer that question.

so because bike noise suggests that it might be Dante returning it means your not assuming it's Dante who's returned? The reason why i assume along with you that it's Dante is because i hear "bike noise".

I'm not assuming, no. I am guessing it is him, but we will probably never know. :(
I am with you on your response to john. Dante might seem more serious in Devil May Cry 2, but I never thought he sounded sad or depressed. I don't think he would want to just throw away his life like that as long there are demons to fight in the mortal world. Dante hardly knew his parents or his brother Vergil and it didn't seem to bother him before. No, Dante is a survivor. He fights until the bitter end.

Dante remembers memories of birthday:
Mother: "Dante, Vergil, Happy birthday"
Dante: "Cool i want cake!"
Vergil: "No, i want!"
*memory ends*

DMC 3 which works on the DMC 1 story:
Dante: Remmeber what we used to say?
*guns pointed at Arkham*
Twins: JACKPOT!

I'm not saying that he didn't know them, I said he hardly knew them. Please stop changing the way I said things. Dante and Vergil didn't know their father that much, only what their mother and what the legends told them. Eva died when the boys were 8 years old, so they were still very young when they lost her. Since then Dante and Vergil went their seperate ways. They never formed a brotherly bond or became good friends, they just split up and didn't see eachother until Devil May Cry 3. Yes, they are still brothers, but I really wouldn't call them close.

Yes, but that doesn't mean they were close. They are brothers and Dante isn't some heartless b@stard. It doesn't mean they were close though. They didn't hang out and do stuff together, eating pizza and played pool, stuff like that. And it doesn't mean that Dante is depressed and wants to throw his life away. It just shows that a part of him is human.

eating pizza and playing pool isn't vergil's persona so do you remember what dante said in the beginning ''its been a year since we last me right vergil ?" staying close and hanging up isn't only thing which can keep two brothers close teh Hell i also think even vergil cared about dante ! that's why he didn't want to kill him in the end poor vergil

Whatever you say. I'm still not convinced they were close. They wanted to kill eachother in Devil May Cry 3 as seen in the intro. That's not what close brothers do.

But he still cared about vergil whatsoever both of them wanted good to happen only that was wrong was vergil's way was wrong so dante was forced to fight him and vergil done the same he thought he was doing the right thing and dante wasn't so don't confuse this between their closeness they cared for each other but their ways were different

To care for one another and to be close to eachother aren't the same thing. Meh, whatever, this isn't going anywhere and we are going off-topic with this. It would be better if we just agree to disagree and let this go.

what do you mean by close ????

they are way too much different to hug and live together
they are close brothers because they spent their childhood together

In dmc 1 when he looks at the locket he remembered the time they had spent together so they're close to each other even though vergil doesn't care much about it dante does

So 8 years and Dante hardly knows his mother and brother?
And how would you know they didn´t form a brotherly bond.

If that´s not a bond then i don´t know what is.
