    IMO, the best course of action would be to have a time-skip to either the "Peaceful World" Saga or Post-Z when it eventually comes back.

    Depends how long they planned on running it for. Heard talks that it would continue indefinitely & the voice actors & animators spoke about next 100 episodes. Story wise a time jump makes sense but could also deprive them of additional content to fill time in between if they plan to stretch it out.

    I was thinking about how to do a digimon live action movie and I was wondering if setting it in the states would be a bad idea?

    Honestly, there's nothing inherently Japanese about the concept so it would be fine imo (of course you'd still have the obligatory accusation of white-washing). The obvious real hurdle for a LA movie is the Digimon themselves, it may be worth using puppets and other practical effects and saving CGI for giant Digimon.

    I was gonna say they should focus on a new plot/characters rather than trying to adapt a specific one. That might get around the whitewashing criticism. Also since its a new plot characters you cant say we screwed up your favorites

    While I wouldn't call it a bad episode, after hearing all the pre-premiere praise people were lumping on it. I found the episode to be rather lacklustre.

    It's certainly something different. At this point, if they do make a DMC5 and all it does is simply retread a "somebody wants the power of Sparda" then I might lose hope. :(

    Yes, I know Sephiroth has an odachi and Vergil has a tachi but no one really calls them that, so it doesn't matter.

    The opening is pretty nice.

    Story concept is interesting but the show can be pretty somber. Funny thing is anime tends to be more somber than live action so its a different adjustment.

    No, I have not seen the movie. Though I heard the lead actor is the same guy who played Kenshin in the Rurouni Kenshin Live action movies.

    What worries me more is Japan's lack of effective rehabilitation for these types of crimes. He'll do a stint in prison and maybe a substantial fine, but that is unlikely to solve the base problem here. :(

    Japan isn't exactly one to shy away from child porn in some way shape or form. The loophole is lolicon content, and the excuse of "if it's not real girls, then it doesn't count as child pornography" which is accepted by law, but not by the general society. Messed up I know.

    Well, the whole "Lolicon" is somewhat of a separate debate from this one as Watsuki was caught with pornography of actual *real* girls.
