In my opinion, Dante is on the uncanny valley side. Nero in a few shots too. Trish though, to me looks straight up ugly. In the screenshot above, she kind of reminds me of an old hag from fairytales, ready to cook your children in her cauldron.

I am hoping it's a work in progress. Weird floatiness, the visual disconnect with the character, often occurs because of motion-capture. Motion capture grabs the movements, then those movements have to be adjusted by an animator to make the character seem to have weight in the world around them.

Also, might as well weigh in on the music. Yeah, I hated it. But I don't like deathcore so there you go.

I think we just need to give the faces some time. Not only is it a brand new engine, but they're using real faces blended with the previous features we know of a character. The fact that they aren't the perfectly plastic anime figures we've known for years is going to take a moment to get used to.
It'll especially help that we'll be seeing footage in context and in line with its audio, sometimes trailers sound like the ADR is off but it all ends up fitting together way better in the actual game.
And if it doesn't get better with time, I'll eat my tie.

Yeah, always sucks when you find out stuff like that after the work is done. Guess they'll do some research beforehand from now on when they do these collaborations.
As a side note, as someone who didn't like that theme AT ALL, if that means they're gonna change the battle music in the final game, I'm personally happy.
LOL, there are already a million and a half memes about what kind of "tension" that "vibration feature" is supposed to relieve.
Indeed, aside from an i7 in the minimum requirements. Like, damn, game must really be CPU intensive then. But glad to know my GTX 960 is in the recommended, LOL. Along with everything else. Good news.
But I hope that "controller recommended" doesn't mean the game is not gonna have full mouse and keyboard support. Like come on Capcom, DmC had it and it worked pretty well.

I wonder if they could just get the people who did Devil Trigger to make Dante's theme, they did a pretty good job. Or hey, maaaaybe just let her actually sing so vocals on Subhuman, it might...y'know, be good.

I am alone in this, I understand, but I feel like Dante would be well suited by a folk metal band.
Examples including Subway To Sally, Orphaned Land and Ensiferum.

Like Karina Anna and Artemis in DMC 3Yup this fanbase sure do have their priorities straight. Still waiting on these sheeps to get together and express discomfort with Nero's DB system as it is but I doubt they have the testicles to go against their lord and savior Itsuno-sama and will just "deal with it".........uuggghhhh.
As for the song after the trailer it was warming up to me. I've listened to various instrumental or shortened version that cuts out all the gargled nonsense and the instruments are really nice and when you lower the vocals and its layered over gameplay its very bearable. I don't know about the music production process but will it take a while to produce one new song and edit it to have it work with the style system?
I expect at the very least they'll just get a new vocalist and replace the old vocals and maybe edit the beat a bit to go with the mew vocals. The issue everyone had was the vocals and the composers aren't in any hot water although the lead composer might be a hot head.

That lightning demon is probably the boss that gives you the bike since the bike also emits purple electricity.
I doubt Itsuno would bring back old weapons that aren't story relevant but these do serve as homages to DMC1.
Dante's weapons so far parallels DMC1: Force Edge/Rebellion, Sparda, Fire Gauntlets (Ifrit/Balrog), and a lightning based melee weapon (Alastor/Cavalier). Then there is E&I and a shotgun so he will probably get something that parallels a grenade launcher and Nightmare.
Is DMC V going to have online multiplayer?

Kalina Ann and Artemis is a possibility.
Dante could've gotten Kalina Ann due to the fact there is a promo picture of Dante wearing what looks like Lady's goggles.
So something could've happened to Lady and Dante got both the goggles and Kalina Ann.
