Nero's DB did get turned off when Sanctus stabbed it with Yamato. Wether it would have or not have happened had Sanctus used some other sword though...

The light was more of an indication of Nero's state implying that he was going unconscious and not that he was loosing power.

all nero has is brute force and decent swordsmanship , vergil outclasses him in knowledge of his powers full knowledge and mastery of yamato a dt and in speed skill and reactions on top of that he has dante level regen so nero will lose and vergil won‘t make it pretty he will leave him for dead or kill him

that makes no difference if vergil was fighting him vergil would have yamato so nero would have no spectre dt and only red queen to fight with and vergil wouldn‘t toy with him like dante he would be ruthless and set out to destroy him and nero wouldnt go down in a flash or 1 hit but he would be quite soundly beaten. Dmc3 dante would beat nero too db strength isn‘t enough to win a fight. If you follow that logic then it would be like saying a professional armwrestler could beat a trained martial artist because he has more brute force.

i meant devil arm yamato and rebellion are linked to dante and vergil and only channel there true power for them nero has no personal devil arm to awaken his true potential no matter what scenario he woukd lose to vergil

regular devil arms will give him new powers but only a specific devil arm linked to his soul and having part of his soul can brimg out his true potential he doesn‘t have one and you can‘t just get one sparda forged the rebellion amd yamato. Nero is also quarter demon so he may not have any potential other than getting stronger and upgrading his db. He doesn‘t even have a demon form only an aura and spectre. Unless vergil was sloppy and let him attack him i doubt nero would even land a hit on him.

sparda would need to have sight to see the future and he didn‘t plus he is,gone only leaving behind weapons for his sons not his grandkids so i doubt it ha ha but nice try dude. You will need to make a game for nero to beat vergil other than that it ain‘t happening

Lol this has been going on quite a long time. I still say Nero>New Vergil with mid difficulty. Their swordsman ships are different but neither would just outright dominate. Nero has dispatched enemies much stronger and faster than New Vergil so he can manage without having the ability to warp around like his foe. Hell New Dante downright destroyed New Vergil and I personally think Nero would beat New Dante too (but I'll save that for another time). Nero doesn't just have brute strength though he just uses it as his key for ending battles quickly. but seeing him keep up with Dante and his crazy stamina, bullet time with ease, dodge lightning from foes and that sealed room that Agnus locked him in for a while I'd say he'd put New Vergil down in only a couple hits once he tags him because he isn't put the pressure on him in an category but maybe intelligence (but that didn't help him in any of his other straight up fights lol)

The New Vergil while swift, kind of lack feats of any real kind. It's easy to say he's swift and fast but compared to who exactly? He's got a rep of losing so far. And while his attacks may very well be more swift than Nero's, he's not nearly quick enough to get around Nero's defenses to land a viable hit. It also doesn't help that I don't think he could put Nero down for good even with a clean hit. The kid has some pretty good endurance and resilience and a healing factor that helped him continue fighting when he was stabbed multiple times by a much bigger sword. You know how New Dante managed to stab New Vergil in the chest? He outright blitzed him, plain and simple. If Nero does that he's not going to just pull it out, he's going to downright exceed him in half.
