You make it sound like that Tameem shaped Dante to look like him. But you have no proof of that.
What if NT made Dante look like he does, and then AFTERWARDS Tameem thought "Hey, that's a cool haircut..." and then went to have his hair cut to match Dante's?

And other than the hair, then they look nothing alike. Hell, even now the hair don't match. Tameem has a new haircut now... probably because he was tired of hearing all the haters bitching about it.
that's what i said in another thread as well about the hair, but cooldemon has his opinion, so there's no point in trying to change it.

Now i am talking only for myself. I am not talking for any of you. You don´t need to care about what i say. But here is me elaborating on Tameem = Dante issue.

Tameem lives in UK. And as i pointed out DmC Dante character seems to be catered to UK players most. Because i believe in UK there are alot punk looking youths who also probably smoke.
Afterall Punk movement started there. And Tameem growing up in UK might been a punk or still is. We know he smokes.

Yes, everyone smokes. But Tameem is leading DmC. And the flag on Dante´s jacket seems unecessary. You guys say it´s there to show that DmC was made by Ninja theory or pay tribute to the country they are in.
But is there any sort of tribute to UK or Ninja theory in Enslaved or Heavenly sword in any form? A poster on a wall in Enslaved showing UK flag?
A flag theme looking cloth in Heavenly sword? Or a clear object that is directly related to UK in Heavenly sword?
Sure a flag in Heavenly sword may not fit - but is there a obvious thing like the british flag that is put in Heavenly sword that pays tribute to their country?

So putting all that together i can´t help but conclude to myself that DmC is heavily influenced by UK. And if it is then it points back to Tameem - making it higher possible that the style of Dante is based on Tameem and his collagues thoughts - or the appearance of Tameem.

But if you can find a clear form of tribute to UK in Enslaved and Heavenly sword like how clear the british flag is - then it will make me doubt the possibility of the things i said above.

People in the US smoke, dress in that way, and MANY of them are very much intrigued and inspired by the UK, primarily having British flags of some sort for ornament... I live in the US mate, and I know many people. While I won't speak for the entire country, I'll speak for the people I know in different areas of the country and guess what, it's just an aesthetic appeal...it means absolutely nothing. Why are you making a mountain out of a mole hill?

Well punk movement spread over to US. But i don´t see the relevance of bringing up US.
There is tons of movements, groups, etc within US. It´s a country of countries. And finding out what´s cool in US the last 5 years would take AGES. Because that´s what Dante´s character is based on - what´s cool nowdays.

And if Dante´s looks don´t mean anything he could then stay the same. Ninja theory then didn´t have to go through all the trouble with Capcom for a year to get the right character concept. But they did went through a year of prosess to make Dante´s character - and that tells me how Dante looks like matters alot, espescially if they spent a year on it.

Cloud in your avatar - why do you like him? Is it because of how he is as a person or mostly of how he looks like?

the game is based on what's cool in general. If you don't want to bring up specific countries, then don't bring up the fact that this is being catered to the UK (as I just pointed out how it's catered to the US as well) or the fact that it's not in line with "what's cool" in Scandinavia or where ever it is that you live. Like I said, if you're going to make a comparison, then do it thoroughly.

Punk might derive from the UK, but you see it practically everywhere in Europe. And though Dante looks are influenced by punk, it really isn't all THAT punk. It's very casual, if anything.

We have already stated numerous times that Dante is only smoking in the debut trailer. He hasn't been shown smoking since in any released footage after that, so NT might have cut that away entirely. Again, probably because haters were bitching about it. If that's the case, don't come and tell me NT aren't listening to the fans.

Admittedly, I haven't noticed any UK looking flag in Enslaved or Heavenly Sword.
However, it was recently pointed out that some of the banners in Limbo City looks like the Danish flag. Does that mean that it takes place in Denmark? Hell no! It's just a flag, and it is there merely to hint to NT's nationality, NOT to Dante's nationality. Dante doesn't sound British at all.

The buildings and overall scenario of DmC appears very gothic... Gothic architecture can be found all over Europe, not just the UK. Oh, and might I point out, the gothic architecture was also in the original series which was made in Japan. I'd bet you that the gothic scenery in DmC is inspired by the original series, and not because of NT being in the UK.

I agree the current Dante looks casual - even though still punkish looking. But punk movement started in UK it´s right to assume that it left a big mark on UK more than other places. Because it began there. Of course you may see alot punks in Europe or America. But if you go to UK punks will most likely be alot more visible. And Europe and America are two big continents. Surely there is many other groups that have made an impact?

But just because DmC Dante no longer looks much like Tameem does not mean there isn´t a scare in form of memory left behind.

I pointed out the Denmark flag resemblance. And i ask "Could it be in Denmark" - and it´s a question. It´s mean to be answered, and it got answered - it´s not in Denmark.
And i am not talking about if Dante´s nationality is british. I am talking the things i mentioned in post #222 above.

I haven´t said anything about the architecture. Infact i caught with me that it´s italian inspired because i think the artist is italian.

really? scars in your memory? then how is it that you expect NT to do ANYTHING about that? should they magically perform inception on you?
It´s a metaphor. And i am discussing if Dante design from E3 was influenced by Tameem himself or his thoughts.

Of course current Dante looks causal. But just like how many fans got angry and asked "Where is white hair, "Where is red jacket" the same thing happened with E3 Dante. "Why does he look like Tameem?", "Why does he smoke?".

So they changed the initial design.

If i am to discuss current Dante then the idea of punk theme in DmC could come from anyone since they are british stationed studio.

You know... NT is a whole team of people. I bet Tameem wasn't the one deciding how Dante should look like. At least not just himself. There were probably alot of character designers who made Dante appear like this. Tameem is not a character designer, he's the team leader which means his job is to make sure everything is going well between the staff amongst other things. He's also a spokesman of the team - but that doesn't mean that the whole idea about DmC is his.

also, how do YOU know that they didn't have the DT planned like that from the very beginning. It seems like something that was planned, you don't just throw a trailer out without having it well thought out beforehand

That´s another thing we need to look into - and i pointed that out too myself if you read above. But by going into the only thing we can make more visible as a possible thing that could be - is if his team suggested Punk theme.

Now if his team suggested punk theme:
Why did Tameem look fairly like Dante at E3 and before E3?
And what´s the point of the flag on Dante.

Again if it´s a tribute - such CLEAR tributes should be in Enslaved or Heavenly sword.
For example, and this is just a example: In Heavenly sword there can be a very known weapon that´s british. A weapon that if you showed it to a british youth he/she would say "Hey that looks like !".

It doesn´t have to be a certain object. But the object being in the game should clearly give the message "UK!". Like how looking at the union flag one thinks of UK right away.

Because if there is no such tribute in Enslaved and Heavenly sword - then it makes the british flag intention of a "tribute to their country" what it is. If there is no such things in the two games i mentioned then the "tribute" in DmC is not what it is. And the fact that the flag is so clearly visible on Dante´s jacket.

The flag could be part of punkish look, but then it will give special treatment to UK players. Is it likely that punks from all over world ordered uk flag jackets? OR did they get a punk looking jacket and didn´t care about the flag, or use their own country flag on the jacket?

@ GGC How do i know the devil trigger with white hair and red coat wasn´t planned? I watched the interviews.

British company. They make the game they get to put a british flag on D.

Exactly.
CoolDemon, you are overthinking these things. You're like a conspiracy theoretic.

"The flags! The FLAGS! The flags are everywhere! BEWARE THE FLAGS!!!"

It's just a flag. Calm down.
