It's kinda funny imagining an uber serious dude like Arkham going around slapping his butt and going "woo woo woo woo woo!"

When you found out he was Jester my first thought was, so he was doing those weird things? :P

I like Arkham for simply being a Batman reference. Arkham is also the giggly Jester. Wonder who that could be referencing.

I'm starting to think that the only reason Vergil used a gun was because he decided to "do it Dante's way" and I guess that means using a gun. Plus I actually don't think Dante nor Vergil could use their powers outside Limbo.
He did, it's the same deal of what Old Vergil did when he did things Dante's way in DMC3 and used his gun to shoot Arkham.

Though I question, where on earth did Vergil did get that rifle XD I mean Headquarters got trashed, unless he kept it in the back of the car or in that hide out place next to the piles of old board games of Checkers and Scrabble.

He probably just went to the gun store and bought it, they probably have really lax gun laws like the US, we don't even prevent people on the terrorist watch list from buying guns. :P

On a side note, can you imagine having to run a background check on Vergil, or telling him, Sir, you need to wait 2 weeks before I can authorize selling this rifle to you.

And then Vergil gives the man a blank stare...nods to his bro, and Dante slams the guy's head on the counter, knocking him out and they take the gun!

Remember he ordered Arkham to kill lady and he killed arkham because he didn't do that. so yeah if anything he would've even more ruthless and mean.

i reckon he would habe but not with a cheap shot with a gun he would have looked her in the eye and then gutted her with yamato

I think he would have killed or should I say sliced Lilith and those other guys as well with his Yamato. They would all be dead even before they knew what hit'em, and Mundus would be releasing the 'shockwave' for his child and his Mistress.

Vergil from the original series was not honorable.
Last I checked, impaling your own brother with his sword was not honorable.

And yes, Lilith would be dead by Vergil hands if the opportunity presented itself. The man is a sociopath, and cares nothing for others, except maybe Dante (at times) and even then issues arise.

It would probably be like

Dante: "Hey Vergil, What's this by the board games and moe moe kyun plushie?"
Vergil: "Oh that's just my assult rifle."
Dante: "Uh...why do you have an assult rifle near board games?"
Vergil: "In case I lose. The last time someone beat me in a board game...well...let's just say he didn't win the game of LIFE."
*Dante stares fearfully*
Vergil: "Now come here Dante. Its your move to move a chess peice..." *stares at brother sadistically* "Be careful where you mooove it."
Dante: "F*ck..."

Sure, but it would be more "close and personal", likely slashing her in two by her womb, and then following up with a slash through her face.

The only difference being DmC Vergil used a gun.

Don't judge a man by how giggly he wants to get! He had a very oppressive childhood!

Vergil's got mad cash :p Bro is independently wealthy.

He'd just shove more money at it >.< I'm surprised Vergil didn't get it personalized like his damn car, haha.

*slides $500 across the counter* "And maybe...put a sweet-lookin' blue V on it somewhere, thanks."

This has really always bugged me. I think there's a lot of...what's the word? "Headcanon" right? There's a whole lot of Vergil fans that have this headcanon made up about how respectable and honorable a man he was, when he was really one of most selfish and deplorable villains in the classic series. There's very little honor in the way he goes about battles too, since he's killed a lot of defenseless and unarmed characters. Vergil is cool, but by god is he totally not an honorable man.

No, Vergil does have honor.

The only thing is that this is not a "great samurai honor", but a personal sense of honor instead. One that can change at any moment Vergil believes it to be fitting.

lol this nigga Unknown is gonna talk about believable motives when New Vergil never made his motive of wanting to rule humanity clear until the final mission. For over -NINTEEN- missions, there were no hints of it, no nothing. And that's deep? lmao!

There were "hints" of it. Not in Vergil himself, since in his point of view his motives were never "hidden"(he believed him and Dante rule over mankind was just a logical conclusion that everyone shared with him), but in the plot, mainly with Phineas asking "who would take Mundus place when he was gone".

Nobody's saying Old Vergils's motives were not believable though. People should stop assuming everytime somebody says something good about DmC they are depreciating the classic series.

Honor is a strict code of conduct regarding respecting others that people live by. Is it really honor of it's so malleable, that he can change it at a moments notice to fit his needs?

It's like saying you're on a diet, but only when you don't want to eat a tub of ice cream :p

That is just what "personal sense of honor" means. Think of it like the Predator not killing a person that is too weak, but then when this person stabs a knife in his back, he will rip the poor bastard in two.

Who voted Vergil has honour? Bwahahahahaha!

If he does have any honour, it is more for his legacy than his moral code (which is, considering he's a devil, non-existent). Sparda set the example to live according to your aspirations in life. In Vergil's perspective he was doing nothing wrong by going after his goal. He had every right to take out any obstacles in his way. He seems to be the G.Bush of the franchise ie. if you're not for me, you're against me (and therefore you will die) kind of thing. This accounts for both DMC3 and DmC Vergil.

So in other news, I just asked siri what she's wearing
Her reply? Alluminosilicate glass and stainless steel

What can I say? It's a gift.
You call THAT talent?

dmc3 Vergil takes pride in his capability. So no he wouldn't.
Nothing about honor, just that he wouldn't endanger Kat's life because Vergil is actually a guy who cares about people.

Vergil isnt completely cold individual. He showed love for his mother. He gave up his dream to take his father's power and told Dante "Noone can have this Dante" , refering to the amulet.
And with his speech he was basically saying "Mother gave this to me".
For some reason people get the idea that because Vergil wants power or embraces his father's blood, it means he hates humans.

Perhaps i am unaware of something in dmc3manga or something.

But i never perceived dmc3Vergil as a evil individual. I perceived him as a man on wrong path, who clearly has love in his heart, enuff to tell Dante that he shud hurry up and get lost before he gets trapped in demon realm.
Or him keeping his mother's amulet.
Someone who is evil do not care for love. Sanctus is great example of that.
"Love? For a sibling? All that is needed is absolute power".
+ again dmc3Vergil is a prideful individual, he would face Mundus.
"If father fought against the prince of darkness, so can i"
"You dont think he deserves to be our main event do you?"

Dmc3Vergil has Byakuya attitude, where he walks with class, closes his eyes ocasionally, and thinks hes better than others. And in some way he is lol. He's a son of Sparda.
