Why do people hate DmC Dante so much?

I apologize for mis-interperating your stance.

My reasons for disliking are listed in this thread, I believe on page 5.

Oh wow. Yours is...ya know...bitter. But I respect that you just don't like the theme overall. You're a more anime kind of person right? Eastern oriented I should say.

I wasn't going for bitter, hopefully it didn't come off that way to many people.

I went through a phase of liking anime but after watching about 3 or 4 I gave up, they're kinda samey to me, I do appreciate the art work however. But I'm getting off track.

I like western themes as much as the next guy, I just don't feel the themes are well done in DmC and don't like the overall storyline. I also prefer my protagonists to have better morals.
