Who else thinks that DmC is good and DMC actually needed a reboot?

I enjoyed DmC for the combat and story but felt the bosses need more umph I hope they make a sequel but im not holding my breath

bosses were more of a specticle than an actual challenge. especially the bob barbas fight. i just wanted to sit back and njoy the beauty of the designs. i too am hoping for a sequel and praying one happens.

Wow, its always sad to see that a fan of the series dislikes Dante on a actual DMC site...

But hey, your entitled to your opinion dude.
I don't dislike Dante but I sure as hell can make fun of him. I see nothing wrong with that, how is that considered sad?

So because he doesn't look realistic he in fact looks stupid?

So I guess Sonic,Zelda, Mega Man, and countless other video game characters also look stupid since they would also get akward stares in the real world lol.

Its ok if you don't think he looks cool, but I think its kinda unfair to say he looks stupid simply because he isn't exactly realistic appearance wise.

You're being kind of unfair with extreme comparisons. Like I said before, old Dante has that feel of a foreign person's view of western coolness cobbled together from various disconnected bits of western media.

Oh I can make fun of him as well, remember the chaps line from earlier?

But I'm more referring to my past experiences here where some of the fans of the reboot seem to really dislike the old Dante which I find kinda sad considering he was the one who started this whole series off for me.

But it appears I may have read you wrong with the dislike thing so my apologies.

There all video game characters in fictional worlds.

Dante is half demon fighting hords of other demons, the setting it self isn't exactly "realistic" which is why I did not understand the "he looks stupid because he is unrealistic" thing from earlier.

Judging from the arguments I see around here, a lot of these people never actually liked DMC to begin with. They seem so eager to tear apart the old games to save face for this ****ty one

I'm the type of guy that makes fun of just about anything. I'm a massive Metal Gear fan as it's my favorite gaming series ever but I can sure as hell joke about that series. I just make fun of Devil May Cry because it can be made fun of and very easily too. It doesn't mean I hate it because I wouldn't be a fan if I did.

It's not like sunshine comes from the classic DMC's asses:lol: I love the old games, grew up with them, but I like this reboot too. I'm not saying it's perfect, but neither was classic DMC.
People are just saying what's wrong with the classics, like you're saying what's wrong with DmC. Fair is fair. ^_^

DMC Dante was the ****. he was cool calm witty and down right awesome!
in DMC3 Dante hit his all time high, he was this fun loving joker who knew how to care about others and could be serious when it was demanded of him. had DmC been released after that id have hated new Dante from now until forever. but DMC3 dante wasnt the last one. DMC4 came in, while it is a decent game. Dante had become a parody of himself. to the point it was just plain sad. hence why a reboot was demanded if the Devil May Cry franchise was to continue.

Oh, I didn't see the unrealistic part in his post. But I did find DMC4 Dante off-putting for reasons stated above. I liked Bayonetta's gameplay but disliked the aesthetics of it and its attempts to be 'sexy'.

The game was good. It's not a stand out like DMC3, but it's good.

I don't see the series needed rebooting, however perhaps Capcom thought it did because of all the novels and releasing the games in the order they were released (because everything happened to be canon, then it wasn't... but it is... if you get what I mean).

It's not taboo to make fun of and rip at a series that does quite frankly set itself up for some sh!t talk. Do you feel as if you'll get burned at the stake or something if you actually insult Devil May Cry? I've been a fan of the series since the demo showed up with my Code Veronica X and even though it's one of my favorite video game series, Devil May Cry is not sacred nor perfect and safe from ridicule. Lighten up dude. Dante can easily be made fun of as well as just about anything else in this series.

I just get this crazy notion that a good game would be able to stand on its own merits from time to time, pay no mind

Bayonetta was borderline pornography that it made my eyes roll. It was like the developers wet dreams in video game form. Plus, I don't find Bayonetta all that sexy because she is very misproportioned. Her legs are very long to more of an odd sense.

Not like I have a problem with porn but Bayonetta was like some 12 year old came across hentai and said he wanted swordfights in it as well. Should have reached the obvious conclusion and made a hentai game.

She looked weird when using the samurai sword, like a spider.

And that stupid, stupid dance number at the end and the odd choice of a Frank Sinatra song.

quite simply, i LOVE this game. i had a great time with the others as well. but i haven't been this addicted to a game since Bayo. DmC just has so many things to love about it. it really kills me how people see this as anything close to a bad game. You prefer the originals...okay, you don't like all the profanity...understandable, you think new dante looks stupid...whatever. but calling it a bad game all together? any fan of this genre should acknowledge this game as "Good" at the least.

And just make us see the front of her super naked attack.
