She just seemed to be a character thrown in there without anything to her whatsoever. She was a love interest (each to their own) which perhaps was to serve as something new DMC players might find appealing but there wasn't much, if anything, in the way of developing who she was. I dunno...it feels like she was chucked in there for no real reason.

That said, I feel nothing towards her. She's not got enough of an impact to warrant anything more from me than that.

We know so little about her that it's impossible to really feel for her as strongly as Nero apparently does, and since we are forced to rescue her as him she becomes something of a long and drawn-out chore. If CAPCOM had put a little more backstory in there perhaps more people would dislike Kyrie less or perhaps even start to like her. She doesn't have to be a butt-kicking 'strong female' by default to be likeable, she just has to give us some reason to care beyond being helpless.

It's interesting that the characters of the DMC series elicit such a strong response from players. Many games in the past just have the damsel in distress as the mere object of the quest, and we know we're playing the game for the fun of it/to complete it rather than for any interest we might have in this 2D damsel. Does anyone really feel for Mario's Princess? Or the original Prince of Persia's bride? They are almost irrelevant and the old games don't command much of an emotional response. It's interesting and exciting that games have come so far now that players DO get genuine emotional ties and satisfaction from playing them.

Because of that, we know CAPCOM could have done a little better with Kyrie.

Everyone in this thread knows that I LOVE Kyrie. She's just so cute and innocent Sure she had the personality of scotch in a cup (Half empty half full) but that didn't stop me from liking her. You know the only upside to SOPA is no more Rule 34, Me and Applejack looked at it back when we were dating, and she was creeped out as heck, as was I, so please don't use R34. It is discriminating, vile, and above all, it's not even legitimate pornography as it wasn't even made with 2 people, it was drawn by some lonely guy in his basement, I know that rule 34 is a huge part of the internet. But as a legitimate Dovahkiin, I hate rule 34, I am not new to the internet, I am just saying, it's more fun to discriminate people based on Race and Religion rather than Gender.

1. Kyrie was asking if she was still alive because after everything that had happened to her she was having trouble believing that she survived
2. She had no way of knowing Credo was dead and and no reason to immediately ask if he is alive every time she couldn't see him. Credo was the Supreme General of the Holy Knights. The idea that he could be killed wouldn't register in her mind and the game ended a few minutes after everything was over she didn't have time to notice that he wasn't anywhere. Credo was a very important person he wouldn't be near Kyrie every second of every day and he would definitely have a lot to do during a crisis. There is absolutely no reason to think that she didn't ask where he is after the game ended.

Do you realize how absurd it is to hate Kyrie because her brother died over the course of the worst day of her life and she did not magically know.(and how absurd it is to call someone who risked her life to protect some random kid she didn't even know selfish. Apparenly being willing to die to give someone a slight chance of survival is something selfish people do now)

Bestiality is not something I would want Dante to ever do. He can do humans, demons, angels, half-demons, half-angels, half-humans, furries and other anthros, even aliens for all I care as long they are humanoid beings, but not animals. Ponies are animals. They are awesome (especially Fluttershy), but they aren't humanoid beings. Screwing animals is disgusting and I think it is on the same level as pedophilia. This has nothing to do with Kyrie though, however, it is 100 times more interesting than her. XD

that's more like Vampire Knight. In Twilight, they don't involve brother sister relationships...just some disco ball and a deadbeat hook up. However in Vampire Knight, it involves incest between brother and sister.

Not all true, Esme and Carlisle Cullen have adopted all the vampire kids who have coupled up. Also, it's not incest when Nero is adopted, because he and Kyrie do not share the same blood or family bonds, but they grew up together as siblings which is why I think it is a bit creepy.
