The confusing thing here is how before people were saying they don't want Capcom t make DmC2 or have NT to do it.

Now that NT is literally unable to do a DmC2 for a pretty long time leaving Capcom alone and now they're saying they'll rather have Capcom make DmC2 than a DMC5.

Capcom said if they wanted the same old DMC they would've done it themselves and if they make DmC2 that is what it'll become the same old thing.

I remember once making my own version of DmC2 and people argued that it was too similar to the originals and now they're okay with Capcom making DmC2 themselves....odd change of heart.

Who's saying that? I'd only want NT to do a DmC2 or none at all. capcom can't make a good story for sh*t. Why in God's name would I want them to mess up another Devil May Cry entry?

You're just a hack n slash fan. I'm fine with a cyborg ninja Metal Gear game. I've been wanting one ever since I saw Gray Fox show up in MGS 1. He was one of the coolest characters in that game. I just want a good one and MGR wasn't that good one. It still has Metal Gear in the title so see I expect a Metal Gear experience. Not some middle of the road ninja gaiden with Metal Gear wallpaper.

Especially when it's using a character that is terrible. The one that was suppose to be terrible in order for Kojima to use MGS 2 to pass his ambitious message of post modernism and actually "attacking" the otaku culture with the aspersions inveighed against them. But I digress. That's going too off topic here at the moment.
You don't think Metal Gear Rising.

F I R S T entry of Metal Gear's hack and slash.

is not good?

Sorry to disappoint you, but many people including Kojima himself view it as good.
You are just as they call it "buthurt" that Raiden is in it and not Gray Fox.

Which is pretty pathetic - i thought you were a Metal Gear fan.

And did you know that MGR probably had less than 2.5 year of development time?

I mean what happened to both series can exist.

I mean if Capcom makes DMC5 its to well when NT is out of commission. No one is discarding DmC since its practically not going to continue without its original creators (unless if you guys you really want Capcom to make DmC2 instead) and they can make DMC5 and when NT is ready make a DmC2 and everyone will be happy.

I'm not saying replace DmC with DMC but make a new DMC game while DmC is on break.

Even Itsuno himself said that making DmC doesn't mean the old series is over. That opening one door doesn't close the other and even shows interest in going back to the old series.

This^ It's actually a good idea. Capcom will make a DMC5 (Granted they do all their planning and tred carefully) and after a year or two, NT (After getting more work with their new UE4 and building on their story writing skills) could do DmC2.

i would prefer a DmC2 but hey, its not up to me, right? if we get DMC5, fine. honestly its a win-win for me. we get DMC5, people will riot like the last time. we get DmC2 people still riot. all i get to do is sit back, drink a beer and watch you guys kill eachother...again. so, have fun

It actually wasn't that bad. But it pales in comparison to bayonetta and DMC's gameplay. But for a H&S it's a decent 7/10

You don't understand. And even though I like Gray Fox more that doesn't change the way I would feel about it if I got the same exact game. I said it was just ok. I don't hate MGR but, it isn't something I'd shell out full price for and want to buy. Borrowing it and playing it for a little bit was good enough for me.

Kojima had hardly anything to do with the game and the MGR you're playing is even the third incarnation of this game and not what Kojima really wanted to make. P* and Konami were the ones who pushed for the changes. Kojima doesn't even like working on games with protagonist younger than him. That's just his thing. He said he doesn't relate well with it.

Raiden's story shouldn't have continued because he had his resolution and was done with MGS 4. And you obviously don't get what Raiden is suppose to be in the Metal Gear series. You don't play Metal Gear. That's why you totally don't get my last part about MGS 2's purpose for the character in the first place.

I still don't care much for Raiden but replaying MGS 2 again has shed some light on the purpose of him. I got a better perspective. Yet you only percieve my comment as "hating on Raiden" again. Please. I don't think I should even bother to explain it to you because no offense but I think it would just zoom over your head.

I so want some more MegaMan bad. Capcom should just sell MegaMan to Nintendo. He wouldn't be forgotten in Nintendo's hands and they'd take good care of them.

I would also love some more Clock Tower. I recently just got my hands on the original game again. Clock Tower was great.
I never played the original Clock Towers. Clock Tower 3 is the only one I've had the chance of playing. It's a shame it's such a short game and it's got a couple flaws that I felt Haunting Ground re-corrected [that fact you could outrun chasers in that game, yaaay XD] but I am sad they've not done anymore games with that series.

Megaman I haven't played since I was 5 or 6 maybe, but I'd love to see a reboot on that. Say seeing Megaman look like a human being rather than a cartoon, like the Pluto mangas making Astro and the other characters look less anime. But thus far I've not really picked the series up since I was young.

But oh god, I'd kill for something on Dino Crisis. Regina really was a cool female character.

And lastly, you also have to think about why it was rebooted in the first place; it was getting stale and not bringing in the numbers they wanted. Capcom really needs to get serious about making a DMC5, because if they pull the same crap with DMC4 and doesn't try to elevate the gameplay, characters, environment, graphics, music, style system, etc, then people are gonna be ****ed...again.

Shouldn't DmC2 be expected to do the same.

I mean if DmC2 does the same thing with an improved version of its combat system, similar heavy, industrial music, environments, and etc won't people be ****ed as well.

I mean what this expecting more from a new DMC game than a new DmC game.

NOT BRINGING THE NUMBER THEY WANTED!!!

HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A F*CKING ROCK!!??

Or did you seem to forget that the latest DMC game (DMC4) was the highest selling in the series being in Capcom's top 10 selling games and not bringing them the numbers they wanted. Capcom must have extremely high expectations then.

DmC is not even in their top 50. If DmC really help rivatilize the series why did it sell the least of the series? I mean if it was so good as the critics claim it to be it should've attracted a bunch of new faces but a strong majority of people who bought DmC already played DMC before.

You should do yourself a favor and play the original point and click Clock Tower. All acorns must at least once in their life. It's like mandatory to become a beautiful tree.

Capcom should work on a traditional Devil May Cry title... though they should finish it. Devil May Cry 4 was bad because it wasn't finished. It was lazy of Capcom and should have had more time put into it. In other words, Capcom should make Devil May Cry 5 and do it correctly.

But, I'm also interested in DmC2.
If Nina Theory is like-wise interested, they should consider making said sequel, but only if they want too.

Now that I think about it, I think I played the first from a version a friend had ages back, but it didn't work properly. That or I just couldn't figure out the clicking stuff ;_;

It was one where a girl was in a mansion with friends right?

And are you flirting with me? o.o

I can get on board with that.

Of course, but since everyone wants a DMC5, it should focus on that first. DmC 2 comes later.

Yes, because it's still DmC and for what it represents, people will be steamed.

Since DMC holds this "title" I expect it to be top form. DmC is the same, bu tit's still growing into the top form of its own. Even so I still expect as much work with DmC as DMC5 should get.

DmC is the reason DMC is even in the light. Fans hate are the reason DMC is now suddenly being looked at. All the coverage it got, all the art that's been made (good and bad) and there's also Combichrist and Nosia fans who were looking at this game. DmC made not have brought the numbers, but through DmC, DMC is now getting more fans.

Or both, I mean, DmC isn't something that should be considered a failure. Critically and commercially. We might be dealing with people who are just all PRO DMC on here but, not many people hate DmC as much as they think.

Kojima said that he was considering writing a script for a future Metal Gear Rising game where you play as Gray Fox. :D

Yep. The one on the good ol SNES.

;)

I'd like a new Dino Crisis as well.

Yeah the comment on a MegaMan reboot and making him more realistic.....kind of.............****ed me off....don't worry I won't vent my rage on you (already vented my rage). I've played MegaMan since I was 4 and played all of the games (I played all of the classics, X, BN, SF, Zero, ZX, Legends, and all spin off titles like MegaMan Soccer) if Capcom does that..............................I'll give up on gaming or at least AAA gaming.....Making MegaMan realistic is big sin anyone can commit.....human......HE IS A F*CKING ROBOT. While were at it lets reboot Mario and make him more realistic and a plumber who fights crime in the streets in New York against the MUTHERF*CKING MAFIA!! Lets make Sonic more realistic.......wait they did.

256px-Sonic_the_Hedgehog_Next-Gen_Box_Art.JPG

AND IT WAS UTTER SH*T!!!!!

Sorry didn't want to get mad but just thinking of Capcom rebooting MegaMan (I'm not against) but making him more realistic to sell out. I can forgive DmC but if that ever happens I'll never forgive Capcom. Probably go to their HQ in Japan and **** on their computer screens.....just mad thinking about it.

That would be great. No one gets Metal Gear more than the main man himself. And Gray Fox is a tragic character that deserves the Kojima story telling treatment. You can't justify Gray Fox with a popcorn MG game.

Sonic 06 was crap but, that was realistic? It just was another drop in the bucket for bad Sonic games.

As for that Maverick Hunter MegaMan shooter. That actually sounded rather promising. The design looked pretty badass designed by the same guy who did the Iron Man suit and it was being developed by the same people who made Metroid Prime. Metroid f#cking Prime. Nuff said.
