I wasn't. And Rouge just makes no f#cking sense. It's a Sonic the Hedgehog game and we have this little furry bat creature being sexualized acting like Selina Kyle. She serves no f#cking purpose. Actually they've had realistic people in Sonic games since Sonic Adventure or so.

While we're on Rouge who was in Sonic Adventure 2 which I kinda have a grudge against... well, this goes more into the gameplay style of the game altogether. WTF was Sonic Adventure 2 about, with 2 characters of each type that play the same? I guess it was for the duel mode but...

I look at Rouge the Bat and I think, why do we need another flying character? WE HAVE TAILS! And she doesn't really even fly, she instead glides like Knuckles? WTF is this sh*t?! Make some awesome fast paced, flight based levels for Tails and maybe Rouge too, instead and.... wait...

WHY IS TAILS RUNNING AROUND IN A MECHA INSTEAD OF FLYING?! Wh-- NOW HE'S DRIVING A CAR?! WHY ARE THE TWO *FLYING* CHARACTERS IN THE GAME, DRIVING?!!!

Still a fun game though, but because of all that, I enjoy Sonic Adventure 1 a lot more. Back then when Tails was actually cool, and there was less forced gimmicky BS.

While it was the better game overall, at the very least, it didn't have Big Gay Al Cat.

Also, they made SA2 that way because fans wanted more speed, more mechs, more emerald-hunting and less... cat. O_O
That was the only way they could make it fit within that framework. Besides, I kind of liked it... however, I admit it would have been better with just the speed parts. That's why they made it strictly speed in Sonic Heroes. That proved that Sega was listening... then they made Shadow, Sonic 2006, and Sonic Werewolf. Oh well.

Animaniacs is still one of the greatest shows of all time. I just don't think of Sonic characters are something attractive.

Now, there are some characters I can see where the attraction comes from. I mean, I'm not a furry or anything but, before I was old enough to know sh!t about sh!t I had a thing for Callie Briggs from Swat Kats and Demona from Gargoyles. Also I thought Gadget from Rescue Rangers was kinda cute. Some of the few non human animated characters I found myself attracted to.

I can deal with Big, for speed physics that don't seem to be made to *force* you to slow down. For some reason, Sonic and Shadow felt like they were dragging behind them a parachute, constantly slowing them down no matter how many speed tags you passed through.

That and the epic parts in robotnik's ship where like a 100 enemies would fill the screen, and you could unleash Sonic's lightspeed dash upon them all and watch him do to town like the Flash.

Also, f*ck Sonic Heroes. Blind jumps, no post-hit invincibility, and a homing strike that seemed to activate whenever the hell it wanted, and when it didn't, enjoy air dashing unprotected into that enemy and losing those rings!!

Yeah fans aren't really going to leave DMC alone that easy....main reason why is.

As long as PG exists and keeps making well received action games similar to DMC people will want to yearn for a new high quality DMC game or a DMC game regardless (made by PG or Capcom).

Like when Bayonetta came out, the hype for DMC went up due to how similar they were and the fact the guy who made Bayonetta made DMC.

People even say MGR contains the spirit of the old DMC (mainly DMC3/4).

Plus why do people let the fans cool off.....cool off of what? Not giving them a DMC game won't let them calm down they'll just go elsewhere (PG) for games like DMC or of DMC quality and when Capcom does release a new DMC/DmC it would practically be too late since a majority of the fanbase left because they didn't give them what they wanted and there was other places to go. Fans ditched DMC/DmC for a PG gamebefore (MGR) they'll do it again if Capcom leaves them waiting and PG fermits their spot of high quality hack and slash and over the top stylish action (something DMC once stood for).

The reason why they were ****ed to begin with was the possibility of DmC replacing DMC how is giving them back DMC after a 5+ hiatus rushing it.

Anyway, it wasn't just DmC that fans complained about. It's pretty much been every new installation. That's why I think DMC/DmC should be left alone for a while. If the fans go to another game, fine. That doesn't mean that they'll ignore a new DMC when it's announced. The fans that keep complaining need to be forced to step back, and Capcom probably needs to recharge. If they rush to try pleasing every fan all we're going to get is a half completed game.

I've enjoyed both the original and the reboot, but DMC/DmC are far from my favorite games. I would like to see them both continue, but not at the cost of them cutting corners just to get the game out as fast as possible. So, I'd be fine with them being put on hold for a while. That's just me, though.

Can I see a source where it states such information of DMC3 being a new continuity?

In the DMC3 manga (written by Noboru Sugimori the same guy who wrote DMC1) explains that the demons thought that Vergil died in the accident so it was general knowledge that he was dead but he was in fact alive and kept his existence hidden so demons thought he was dead but he was alive.

Vergil could've had Nero before DMC3 and the DMC3 manga so mid teens (15-17), Nero was 17 years old in DMC4 and to this day how old Dante was in DMC4 (how old Vergil would be during DMC4) is still unknown.

Nowadays I'm glad whenever I hear a title is delayed or release date is pushed back, because that means more time hopefully spent on perfecting the product. Definitely don't want them to rush into a new game. I'm willing to wait several years for the next DMC game, so long as it's good.
